Maria, I am glad he is working on his Eagle Scout Badge I have been doing Scouting for 11 yrs. My sons are Eagle and Star. This is a great project but make sure your council appoves be for stating. Take lots of pictures all the way thur so he can show progress. I hate school is about out classmates love to help with this. Let me know what I can do and yes I would count this comment toward 20 minutes on his project.
Maria, I am so glad that your son is home! What a wonderful surprise! Darnell's plans got changed so he did not come home. he will be going overseas next. You all have enough fun for us too while he is home and give him a big hug from me. Lol Debra
Hi Maria - got your note to the FL group -sorry your son is still overseas - do you know when he will be home? I can't imagine how you feel. My thoughts and prayers are with your son and family. Hugs - Sue

I support my kids I am their bigest fan! they have no one else. They are so glad that I do this and they tell me all the time if it was not for them I would not be where I am !! and they are true my life is wonderful because of my kids (lonley) but that is ok I am a Navy mom!!
if others find fault with me then so be it I know and the moms here with no vengence know who I am and what I do, quietly patiently and with honor I am a NAVY MOM!! and I love it
Hi Maria, how long was your son's deployment? My daughter is finishing up 6 months in Kuwait, but has been told there could be another 12-18 month stint in the not-to-distant future. Btw, i LOVE the "God Bless Our Military" graphic on your page. Take care & God bless.
Hello Maria, just stopped by to thankyou for reading "not coming home". With your baby being overseas in all I know first hand how stressful it could be. My baby was in Iraq this time last year. All I want to say to you Maria is to remain faithful and pray morning, noon and night. Prayer helps and it heals. May God bless you and your family everyday and I pray that he keeps your baby safe, peaceful, motivated and focused. He did it for me I know he will do it for you.
Hey,
I have missed talking to you guys. Been busy working and I have been back in the hospital there for a while. I am doing fine and Darnell is too.
I am going to have a small surgery done in the morning, when it is all over I will write more. Thinks for remembering me!Happy holiday and much love.

I'm a Realtor for Century 21 City and our office is on Wiles and University, the big yellow building next to the gas station. Would love to get together some time. There is another mom in Tamarac whos daughter is going into bootcamp in Dec. Lets keep in touch.

I am also a south Florida Navy mom, I live in Tamarac. Not new though, my oldest of 2 sons has been in the Navy 8 years and is leaving Friday for his 2nd deployment for 6 months. My younger son is in the marines in Okinawa Japan. If there is ever a meet and greet in this area I would definitely like to join in. Prayes to you for your son.
Glad I can be there for you. We are all in this together. That is what this site is all about. Moms react differently to things than other family members. To quote one of my friends, my husband sometimes looks at me like I have three heads! Hang in there. Praying for you and your sailor.
Hey, Maria...just read your post on deployed site. How do you handle deployment "well"? What is the "correct" way? If you figure that out, please let me know!!!!!! Dads handle things so differently than moms. It's all about pride, honor, etc. We moms agonize and worry. That's what we do best!!!! Pray, pray, pray. That's what we do. It's hard. Don't minimize what you are feeling. We are all there for you, all know what you are going through, and, if focusing on a Christmas tree, looking forward to his return, helps you through this, I, for one, say "GO FOR IT!!!!!!!". Hang in there, sister!
