I have been getting texts from Joyce/Tammy all weekend --- I fly up to meet them in Seattle next wendsday :) I cant wait Its been far too long since Ive seen Joyce. Will take many pictures ---- here is one of them I ADORE !! OMG How cute are they ??
Julie, thanks for the heads up. I have been trying to catch up on homework and haven't been on in a couple of days. The assignments take me a bit longer these days, seems my "homework" skills are a bit rusty after my looong hiatus from school, go figure... lol.

Hey back, Hmmm muddy pool doesn't sound like much fun. However, my Lab disagrees and thinks it would have been fun to play in... lol
Tabby seems like a very nice girl though it is hard to get to know someone in just a few hours. She was a bit hard to read, she is either timid or just closed mouthed (I am leaning toward timid). He seems very happy and adores the baby. So, we will see.

Yes, I agree that I am one lucky mom. I feel for those who have sailors stationed far away. Billy's trips home will become less frequent once he finishes school and reports to his ship. Cause he's still in C-School, he gets all these holiday weekends off. Billy got here about 8:30 last night and will return to S.D. on Monday. We really don't have much planned - just a B-B-Q with friends. He will spend alot of his time running around catching up with friends.
I hope all goes well with the memorial service. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. I look forward to your visit whenever you can make it. Our weather has been wonderful and should stay this way for awhile longer before we start feeling those cooler fall temps.
I hope everything is going well for Cory and that you will still be able to go visit him next month.

How's the planning going for Aunt Frances? I'm off Sat and Sun, work Monday morning (8-1) and Tues afternoon (2-7) before leaving Wed morning for Seattle . . .
I looked at my 3-Day web page this morning and it says "your event is in 10 days" - WhooHoo:)! I'm taking my laptop so I can post pics on the Monday following:)! Jackie, Melissa and Molly should all be coming in on Tuesday - so there will be lots of 'photo ops' the rest of that week too - LOL:)!

Julie, Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will go ahead and set an event for Oct 17th at 10:00 AM. I will go scout locations after labor day, since Alex is in Vegas I will be there this weekend, back home for classes and then back up to Vegas for a couple of days before he goes back to Washington. So I won't have time to do it until then.
We will get to meet the future DIL next week, so we are definately making that trip. Plus I will have pics to post once we get back (if hubby doesn't forget the camera).

Good Morning BFFF:)! Allergies are kicking my butt today! I'm working from 8-1 and I'm glad it's just a half-day:)!
Mel took me to BestBuy and we got a 'wireless router' (34.99) . . . the ethernet cable (looks like a phone cord cable) plugs from the modem into the router instead of from the modem into the computer . . . then you follow the instructions on the installation disk (and set up security so only computers you choose can use it) then you can use the laptop from anywhere in your house/yard:)!
That also means that you can have your desktop plugging into the back of the wireless router and someone can be using it at the same time as any laptops . . .
Once Eric gets his computer (repaired/replaced) we can both be on the internet at the same time:)!
Mel also set me up with Skype . . . last night we talked by video call . . . Staci's on Skype too - what fun:)!
Nothing new with Bryan . . . he's in Norfolk, working on his car - LOL:)!
If we lived in the same neighborhood I'd swing by and get you to walk WITH me - LOL:)!
I hope Aunt Frances has an easier time of it . . . I agree that sometimes it's just a blessing to be 'done' - thoughts and prayers!

Two weeks from today I'll be flying out . . . hard to believe it's finally here:)! Mel got me connected 'wireless' yesterday so now I can 'compute' from my kitchen instead of bothering Eric . . . note the time - LOL:)!
I'm ready with the moleskin today, I walked ALMOST all the way to Mel's (19.34 miles before I called her to come get me the last mile) and logged a total of about 21 yesterday - I'm working 8-2:30 today so I'll be wearing my crocs:)!

Julie, I'm so sorry your aunt is not doing well. But, as you mentioned, it's best for her to pass quickly so she doesn't suffer.
I'm glad you like the idea of coming up north to escape the city. It would be fun! I read in one of your comments once that you like going to antique shops/stores. We have lots of them up here, especially in Prescott. We're so close to Jerome and Sedona...fun things to see and do there as well. Or, just come up for some
R & R. I have a guest room set up, so come for as long as you like. I know things are real busy for you right now. There is no open or close date on this offer. Plan to come up whenever you like.

Im doing GREAT ---amazingly so I dont even have a concern in the world --- the build up to him leaving was a little bad. BUT now Im great. every time I think of what he is doing and how he must be hating it during pdays I think yeah this is going to pass and he will be just fine. I write him everyday and now waiting for confimation on grad date. (PLEASE hold a good thought it is Oct 16th) The 24th would just blow everything I have going right now.
Hugs to you for checking on me and remembering I AM A BC MOM :) even if I am doing great I still am a BC mom (ie: subject to outburts of tears & panic) LOL
OH Julie, please do....."Packing Parties" for Mollys Adopt a sailor are the latest HOT thing to do.....So easy when you have moms that LOVE doing it. It doesn't take that much..Really...just alot of support! Which as you know can be found HERE...
