Hi. Just found out my son got his assignment and he is going to be a Riverine. I am not happy about this and a little scared. Do you have any information for me? I have watched videos and read stories and I can't believe he choose this. He is graduating a week from Friday, 11/06/09 and coming home for a little while then it's off to Mississippi and then Camp LeJune to train with Marines for two months! My son is a Gunnersmate and is class leader....is this how they reward good work?
Hey Raspberry: Thank you so much for following up with her. I'm not sure that there is anyone else who could give her the support and understanding she needs right now. I'm beat....one weekend filled with grandkids and the next a full weekend in Tucson with mom. I desperately need a day to myself!!! I'm glad Bruce is up and moving around. Tell him hello for me. Any more news on Bryan? Keep me updated!
Cyle comes home in just a few short HOURS! and I CANT WAIT!!!! I just got done baking him cupcakes and brownies c: his favorites lol tho i'm sure he'll be sad that he didnt get to eat any of the batter lol c: I hope you're doing well and ill let you know how homecoming goes!!!!
Joyce: Keep me posted on Bryan. Great work on the Physical Test.....hope he gets back there soon! He really is focused on what he wants. I'm not so sure that's true of mine..... Did I tell you he was talking about EOD?!?!? Since he just made gunners-mate not long ago I think he has to stay in that rate for a year.....I guess we both have kids with pretty scary dreams. I'm thinking we'll both be on cardiac meds before long!
Grandkids are still here.....I could need cardiac meds in an hour if this keeps up!

Hey: Are you still alive? I am, but barely.....worked 12 hours yesterday and 10 today....I'm beat. Had the grandkids last weekend (8 yr old, 6yr old and 3 yr old). I'm ready for another vacation. Maybe one that's lasts a year or two!
Talked to Cory this morning. He still thinks he's outward bound on another Navy adventure next month. Doesn't know where yet. He's not quite as talkative as he was a few months ago. I get occasional phone calls....very short. He does text a line or two during the week, but nothing that tells me anything other than he's still alive. We're still having problems with his car registration. All the forms have been mailed in but we haven't received the exemption yet. Hopefully this week. It was due 9-30 so I know there will be late charges....I just don't know how much!
Anything new from Bryan? And Eric? Let me know what you're up to!

Raspberry.....I'm home! Branson was wonderful. Too early for the fall colors, just a couple of trees were changing......but it was like driving through a forest all the time. It was beautiful! Took in a couple of shows. Saw the Belamy Brothers, Lee Greenwood (who did a great patriotic theme), Paul Revere and the Raiders (too funny!) and Bill Medley....of the Righteous
Brothers. Toured Branson and Springfield. The flights into Springfield and back home were both delayed. I didn't get into my house until midnight Monday.....Tuesday was a VERY long day!!
Talked to Cory over the weekend. He seems fine....nothing new with him, which is probably a good thing. Still no orders for next month.
Got several people who said they'd get cards off to Alan. Staci even said she'd bring him cookies!!! I'll think it will be a great surprise.
I'm off to finish laundry from the trip. Let me know what you're up to!

What a great picture.....Trisha is just as cute as I thought she'd be!!! Nope....no burning ears....just I did have some ringing, maybe THAT was it! Can't wait to hear all about the trip, the walk, the friends, EVERYTHING!

I'll be back somethime in October to measure her rooms and take her to a couple of flooring places. If I don't see you before then, maybe we can get together for pizza, or burgers, or mexican food.....SOMETHING!!!
