He isdoing good. I don't hear from him as much as I use to guess he is grown up and doesn't need mom as much anymore but he is really doing great. He got an early promotion in March and is up for another this coming March. He just passed and got his ESWS qualitifcations and said that is points toward his E5 promo. He is going to school right now but I'm not sure how long that will be. They have kept him very very busy since June. I think he moved off base with a friend. Right now I guess he is chasing the girls. Every Time I hear from him he found another. He finally gave up that trying to get serious for awhile. At least that way I don't have to worry about him getting married to early. lol Sounds like u and Samantha are going to have fun. I wish Daniel could come home. He was supose to then they decided to send him to school so that kind a screwed that up. I haven't seen him since Dec. 2007 when he left. Well I better get for now it was really great to hear from u and so glad u joined the group. ttys

Hi Cindy I haven't heard from u in such along time. I sent an invite to u for the group of our ship. Hope all is well and Samantha is doing good. Yeah I know what you mean. I haven't heard from Daniel as much the past 2 weeks. I figured they must be making stops or something plus I have been really busy with the sale and trying to everything ready for our new house. I don't usually hear from him much when they are reallly busy or when they are at port somewhere. He still hasn't sent me any pics yet. When I'm really busy it makes it easier when I don't hear from him much but when he is bored I hear from him several times a day. Hope you have a nice holiday and get to hear from Samantha alot.

Hi Cindy......my son is aircrew, so, he'll be flying. He's only been there a couple of weeks. I'm still adjusting!!! He is such a guy too........he doesn't get that mom "needs" to hear from him. How is your daughter, and yourself?
That is so cool that she got home for 27 days. Josh can only come home for a little under two weeks, but I am so happy with that because it seems forever since I got to put my arms around my child. I will probably not let him go for the first three days. It will be hard for me to go to work but I have a son graduating in June and going to Army Basic in July so I have to make sure what I get makes the rounds. Life of a military mom!
He said he thinks he knows her but he said he doesn't know many people by first names cuz they go by the last. But I'll tell him what she does. I'm sure he does. It's funy he said when he first got there everyone knew who he was. He said it was weird cuz he didn't know him but he has always made friends really fast why he gets so nervous I don't know.
I am so glad too kind of know around about where he is. He does not write home often enough, and then I am not sure he feels comfortable telling me where they are until after the fact, you know? He tells me God has allowed him three friends at all times, when one leaves, God provides another to fill the void. It makes me happy knowing he has people to talk to. His exact words in his last email were "Amazingly enough, I have met a third person who is just as big a kid and a geek as I am. There is no future for the world at this rate." LOL! My son is such a video game freak. My grand anything will probably be in the shape of a game consle. Haha! Will Samantha get to come home for Christmas?
My son Josh is in Sasebo and is an RPS (chaplain's assistant) on the Essex. He has been over there for about a year and a half but we get to see him closer to New Years! Yeah us!! I just joined and am glad you found the group too.
That's pretty neat they might. Daniel is a IT what does Samantha do. I just talked to a lady that her daughter might have gone to A school with him in Fl. I'm actually from AZ. I was born in Mesa and still have family all around there. Prob. anyone with the last name of O'Dell is related to me. We use to go to the racetrack my dad trained horses and my brother was a jockey.
