Hi Brennie! Can you believe only a week to go!!! Hey, thanks for the tip on the tissue in each pocket...had not thought of that, but I know I will need it! I am going to assemble my "stuff" this weekend. I was going to go see a friend who lives 3 hours from me, but then I got to thinking about my husband and son and their packing. Ha, it will take me all weekend to get them organized! I am used to traveling about 35-40 weekends out the year, so it is a piece of cake for me. For them...it will be a challenge! Talk to you soon!

Hi Brennie,
Thanks for the friend request. This site is a wonderful lifeline to our children when we don't get to hear from them while in bootcamp. I check in everyday and learn new things daily. I wish you and your son Daniel the best of luck.
The most rewarding job I have had so far as a parent is being a Navy Corpsman Mom..Its awesome to watch my sailor grow and mature .He just became an EMT yesterday,,..He is 19..and loves what he is doing. Been in now 19 mo.Went straight friom A school to Okinawa..getting ready to deploy for 6 mo and he is so excited..Me too.Good luck and remember LISTEN and be SUPPORTIVE.It goes a long way.
Hello, Hello,
I've been running around trying to get ready. I want to pack small but it's just not happening, LOL, LOL. However, I've placed two packs of tissues in my coat pocket. I hope I can stop crying long enough to see his face. I'm with you, this is going to be one of the proudest moments for me too! I'm proud to be an American. I'm proud to see our boys will be marching with the flags of each state to be placed out there for all the parents to take pride in their home state. Most of all, that's our children support what we believe in the most, Freedom for all.
Talk soon, Big Smile Brennie
Hello Darlin...wow long time no see! Kids pull us all together now dont they. Dont worry honey he will be fine. I was a wreck when Nick was gone but that day in Great Lakes will be one of your proudest moments! If you need any help or tips about the trip let me know and I will be here anytime!
Hi! Look to the right of this page and you will see the little blog for our meet and greet...6 PM at Flanagan's on the 12th. I can't believe we are almost there!!!! I hope our guys are doing ok!
WOW I must've just missed Catherine the adm, leaving me a little love note. ;-) didn't get to the rules right away!! :-0 I'm trying to stay busy. it sounds like you're holding on okay, we all are going "through it". like i told laurie this ranks right up there with the first day of kindergarten however, i cried at the door for pre-school!! ;-0 LOL
Hello Brennie, It was so nice to hear from you and know I'm not alone in missing our son's, I too have had a very hard time letting go, Ben finally had to tell me to let him go, and those words still echo in my head, what courage he has, I am so proud of him, I know this was not the easiest choice for him. I have also had many tears since he has been gone, not much longer and we will see our sons, I am sure I will be a mess, tears of joy, happiness and pride! Bens dad and I have not seen each other in 14 years, My oldest daughter and I will be at the Graduation together, and Bens dad and stepmom, I wish we could have had more tickets! I have not heard anything from Ben for about a week now, I did recieve two letters last week, I know they are very busy right now, I just hope they all are doing alright! Keep in touch!
Hi Brennie! Thanks for the email! I got a letter from Cody on Thursday and he said their division is doing pretty good. He passed all his inspections and his physical test. He is really pumped and ready for Graduation. I will ask him if he knows Daniel. Can you believe we have less than 2 weeks before our boys are in our sights again!!!! I bought our plane tickets, we arrive around 10 in the morning on the 12th, pick up the car and drive on the GL. My husband grew up in the north, so driving in the snow is no big deal for him. I would be freaking out though as we have no snow here in Texas where we live. We are staying at the Spring Hill suites...got one on line for $89.00 a night. Are you going to the meet and greet? It would be nice to meet you. Thanks for keeping Cody in your prayers. I will do the same for Daniel! Take care and stay in touch.
Hi there and thanks for sharing.......
I do feel like you and had no idea it'd hurt this much and like u, have cried many many times. But better these past two days because WE'RE GETTING SO CLOSE TO HUGGING OUR SONS :) My son didn't think he'd succeed doing the college thing and got really serious about the Navy and had to lose 30 pounds to join, he did it around 4 1/2 months....I'm very proud of him. I do have 5 sons but the other grown two live very close to me. Josh is the first to go so far from home. I do think our boys will be great and we'll be so proud of all they've accomplished for sure. Joshua was even made the Master At Arms for his division. I wonder how that's going for him. Should have a letter tomorrow. Got 5 last week....yipeeeee
So u live in Modesto? only an hour from me......where are u staying at in Great Lakes?
