Tracy, just checking in and seeing how your are doing?? I haven't been on here since around Christmas. Your son and your daughter in law are a very good looking couple. You must be very proud. How is your son?? Where is he. Skylar is in San Dieago right now. I just fly down there two weeks ago and spent sometime with him. He has really changed for the better. Couldn't be any prouder he really is like an adult now . Wow. Well just wishing you and your son the best. Hopefully will here from you soon,
I hear that it was kind of short notice. We knew that Tim and Ariel were getting married, we just didn't know when. He got his orders right before Memorial Day weekend and they were married on June 20th.

Isn't it great to have our kids on this side of the states again! I'm a little surprised to hear Tate will start on the 31st. Looking at the calendar I guess it does make sense. He'll have to go thru two weeks of filling out paperwork and such. Married! Wow. How did you handle that? Morgan and his unofficial fiancee continue to say they're going to wait a couple of years. She's talked him into living together before getting married and may move to Oceanside in September depending on when Morgan will be deployed. It took me a while to accept the fact that I hold a different place in his heart and that Ally now has the larger part. There are two pluses to being married that I think our guys look at. First, is their pay is larger and second, they get to live off base or on base if housing is available. What they don't think about is they may make more money, but their cost of living has increased with a wife, rent, and other expenses. Is his wife still in A school? I'm guessing she could get assigned to either CP hospital or the Coronado Navy base hospital. Tracy, how your life has changed in less than a year! A son in the Navy and now a daughter-in-law. Hopefully, she'll become your daughter-in-love as someone told me recently on Navy Dad's.
Hi Tracy ~ Looks like it's been a long time since I last checked in with you. Where is Tate now? Is he still in gl? Is he going on to FMTB training or does he have orders to report somewhere else? Morgan graduates in Camp Pendleton on May 20th. I can't wait to see him. This has been the longest I've gone without seeing him, even when he was living in Seattle. Hope things are going well for you. Hope to hear from you soon.
Well maybe things will change, I remember saying when I was young I was going to get married, really thinking it and making plans then something would happen. That great right because he will be closer to home.
Oh wow, I read your comment above. I was just kidding when I said, "hope he doesn't come home married" . Why do so many people get married in a hurry when they are in the military. I married my one and only husband while he was in the service and we only knew each other about 6 months, we were divorced in a year. Wish him the best though. Has he got his orders yet???
We leave on the 23rd of this month. I can't wait to see Tim. He is very homesick. His fiancee is having some medical issues and he feels awful being so far from home while she is going through this without him here. She is scheduled for surgery later in the month and he's having a hard time being away.
Ohhh how frustrating, well I will keep him in my thoughts. We are getting together again on your side this time and I have phone numbers, want to come. In a couple weekends.
That is a cool idea, but he has plenty of money, what is an itune card.???? I am going to for sure do the pictures, and a couple of other little things. Think it is to corny to send him the Twilight book. He just got back into reading and Im not sure if it is a little to girly or not.
I really hope they don't change things on him. Skylar is doing awesome. His birthday is coming up and Im having the hardest time thinking of what to get him . Im thinking a box with a bunch of little presents in it.
Tracy, let me know when you get back and how it went, miss you guys, told Teresa I want to get together agian but the catch is everyone has to come. I can come to your side.
Tracy, I know you are probably sitting at graduation as I type this. Mark called me yesterday, him and Tate met each other. Anyways, they changed his orders and now he is going to Camp Pendleton! He has to report by April 2nd. He will be on hold there. I told him what Tate had said but he told me you can be on hold for months, so you may find today that Tate will be leaving earlier then he thought to go to Camp P. Him and Mark can get together out there! From a selfish point I wanted him to go to Camp Lejeune, since he would be able to come home week-ends and he would have started his FTMB on May 9th instead of May 31st. His first base assignment is New Orleans so that would have put him closer to home sooner and since he has a very young son, he would be able to see him. Now he will be gone for 4 months, 2 on hold and 2 in FTMB, oh well, I'm excited to be able to see him. He's going to try to fly out today, hopefully, we will be able to get him a ticket. You never know, maybe we will meet each other out in Cali, if we end up going out. Our daughter is moving to Colorado in June, her husband is Army, so we know we will be flying out there at some point, our grand-daughters are very close to us and we could even end up taking them out there after Mom and Dad get a place. I wish I were there with you today. I know you swelled with pride, I'm teary eyed just thinking about it. Well, write when you get home!
Hello Tracy ~ Looking at Tate's graduation date, It's been awhile! Will he be heading to Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune, or orders to a hospital? If it's to one of the camps, let me know which one. I'm a member of the Camp Pendleton group, and I believe there's one for CL as well. I can put you in contact with a couple of moms who have corpsman at CL if that's where Tate ends up. Enjoy the graduation. We weren't able to make Morgan's. His was 12/12, he flew home the same day for his two week leave. He reported to CP 12/27.

Tracy enjoy your time with Tate. We will get together when you get back. I will come to you, how about that. How is your boyfriend. Im going to spend Halloween in Disneyland with Skylar. It is going to be so much fun. That is the soonest I can fly down there. Let me know when you are back.
