Hi Julie, I requested you as a friend. I agree with you 100% that her mom will come around to her joining the Navy. After her mom sees how the Navy will give her daughter so many more chances in life. your friend Pam (Alexis step-mom)

Hi I found you through one of the discussions and read that your son was in AE school in Pensacola recently. Is this correct? I'm trying to figure out what is going on with my boyfriend. When he signed up for the navy he signed up for AE. Well I got letter today and he is very upset cause they told him that AE school is in Great Lakes now. Are they lying to him? They said that the only way he could get to go to Florida was for AT, ATI, and ATO schoolingl. So he is trying to get switched so he will be closer to me and his mom. If you have any information please inform me. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me a bit more about this school stuff (he is done with boot camp) now what happens. He is in Groton and probably will be on a sub, but thats all I know. Do they have another Graduation for them? Can we go see him anytime we want? Can he call when he wants? We have had one call after he arrived and he said he didnt know much himself. Thanks and have a blessed day. Tena

Julie- Its nice to hear that someone still loves Nursing. So many are still leaving the field and I have questioned it many times. I have always wanted to be an RN since I was 10, and I am finally following my dream. Thanks for the comment- It meant alot. Tena

Hi Julie -- I am from Ohio too! about 30 miles west of Cleveland (Lorain/Vermilion area). My son is also stationed in Mayport FL. He's an AC. I wonder if our sons know each other?

We are all great here. I am so glad to hear that your hubby is doing so well. I will pray for employment for him. Anyone with any job is in a blessed state of being now days.

I am hoping to have a get together in May, but was thinking at a local mom and pop place, it may be too far for you but I will certainly let you know about it. Take care! ~A

Thank you Julie for the words of advice.
Joe and I are not currently together, we broke up because we did not know how to handle him going into the navy. We were still best friends afterwards and we still were together every moment we could be.
The day after Joe left for boot camp I realized I wanted to be with him, something in my mind clicked and told me that I want to be his and I will remain faithful until he comes home.
My biggest concern is that something in his mind clicked the exact opposite way and he realized he wants nothing to do with me, or nothing like that at least. Should I tell him how I feel on a phone call or in a letter or just wait until he comes home? I do not know where to turn for this question because no one around me knows what I am going through, so if you could help me out, or point me in the right direction that would be great.
Stephanie

Hi Julie, I was just wondering if you heard anymore about Dave? I want to send a card, that address on their page goes to the hospital, does that go to the parents? Please if you hear anything please let me know. Is she asking for anything to be sent for her son? I would like to help. Thanks! Debbie

Hey Julie, my daughter Emily, (the blond at dinner) has some training in Cincy in Feb. the 8,9,10. You wouldn't have a couch or a cot she could crash on to keep her from the almost two hour drive those days would you?

Let me know and I will let her know. Thanks ~A

PS how is your family doing?

Hi Julie.
No - not a native. Just very big on Irish heritage and picked up a few things along the way -ha! Sure I could talk a tall tale if I was dared to :). Himself and I have been to Ireland 3 times but, it has been 3 years. Hoping to go this year - planning toward it anyway.
So, tell me about YOUR England. I've friends that have gone but, have not been myself. I love the look of English gardens. I want that look at our own wee cottage. Started with the white picket fence. The flowers were very colorful last year -planning on more this year. I like to refer to it as my Victorian Irish cottage. We are adding victorian trim on the porch this spring with several victoriam style birdhouses. I have a room inside the wee place that I am dressing up as Victorian - love the era -love the look.
Anywho - pop back when you can.
Enjoy your weekend.
Thank Tommy for me - for his service.

I just wanted to say what a great picture this is of your lad - his girlfriend? I LOVE black & white photos. I am so jealous you get to visit PC in April. Have a grand visit with Sir Tommy.

If Tommy is 6'2", then he's actually a little shorter than Ethan. I'll have to let him know, because he was kind of looking around for somebody almost 1/2 foot taller than he is! LOL, I can't gauge height, can I?
