I'll request the time off when it gets a bit closer - less chance of having to change it:)! I'd love to have Julie come too . . . I know we'd all have a GREAT time:)!
For the "Cake in a Jar" . . . you get the wide-mouth (1-pint) mason jars, grease the inside, prepare the cake mix according to directions, then add 1 cup of batter to each jar . . . the cake mix I used made 6 jars.
Set the jars on a cookie sheet inside the over (so they don't tip over) and bake according to directions on box - done when inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Boil the lids, dry off and tighten lid on each jar as you take them out of the oven . . . when they cool off, you'll hear the 'pop' that they have sealed:)!
Hey, are you just done for the summer or for good? We've all missed you. Good to hear from you. I am going to San Diego 6-30 to July 6th, so if anything fits in your plans, I know we would love to see you. Patrick is graduating from C school (I think with honors) and has orders for Japan. So I have to go!!! Of course. sorry, I havn't been able to keep up with Bryan - is he still deployed?
Well you know you can always have our address (even tho' that means tax issues) if that helps . . .
I figure that it's only 5 1/2 hrs each way . . . I could come for a 3-day weekend maybe:)! How much FUN do you think we can cram into that much time?!?! LOL:)!
I just saw all the pics on your page . . . when did you add them? Have I just be oblivious????
I'm VERY glad you're 'back' . . . I've been missing you BUNCHES!!!
GIANT HUGS:)!
Hey so everyone gets a hello but me ? LOL LOL
Yeah I know for some reason you cant see my page !! Hoodie-Who
LOL think about the Oct PIR & cross country trip :) Maybe we could write if off as PR ?? LOL
Let me know when you get 'tour dates' . . . you know that we've got an extra car or two that you can borrow when you're here:)!
I'm seriously considering October! I've actually been thinking about it for several days . . . could you smell the burning? LOL:)!
Today is a day off so I got up early and went for a walk . . . 4 1/2 hours and just over 16 miles:)! I'll post a pic . . .
GIANT HUGS:)!
Hello, So good to hear from you! I really missed you. Are you done with school now? How are Bryan and Katie? Didn't she graduate this year? Where is she going to go to school?
John arrived home early yesterday morning. For 10 days predeployment leave. We will be taking a family vacation to the NC mountains for 5 days then taking him back to Norfolk. He should enjoy the cruise that they are going on beautiful places to visit. If the family group plans a trip to meet the ship Bill and I would like to go. That is as long as his ship does not get diverted. He still is liking the Navy.
How is it going for Bryan? When will his ship be ready?
You, need to get back into the group girl we really miss you!
Love ya!
I'm not laughing, I'm screaming with delight. So good to see you on again. How have you and the family been. You must be so busy. We are all good here in NY. Middle son graduates high school today and ships out to Marine Corps boot camp on August 17th.
Is that really you? Thanks for the update on your family. Sounds so wonderful. Wade is fulltime at school majoring in physics, math and computers. Drew joined the National Guard apologing to me that it wasn't the Navy. Grandson is 3 month old, and his mother has to go to Afghanistan in 3 months. I would have such a difficult time if that was me. Luke was suppose to go with her, but may get discharged or have back surgery. Taylor is also FT at college in a ROTC program with a goal of being a Ranger one day. Personally, I could tolerate more piece in the world before they go anywhere. Plan on visit to Alaska in July or August, hopefully before the snow starts.

AWWWWW! You are so missed. I was looking up soapboxes, and found this old blog from Joyce, back in the day. It really made me miss you.
Tell me you are working toward your goal and career, and that is why I haven't heard from you. How is Bryan?? My momma told me
Sooo good to hear from you. I was just thinking last night that I should call you and make sure all is OK! Then low and behold I get your message. Justin is on deployment, it is not looking like he will make it back before the baby comes. There is a possibility that he can fly back to SD if they are in a port when the time comes. The baby is a girl, she will be "Isabella Dovie", Dovie after my mom. Hopefully Krista will be home for a few days over the 4th. of July weekend. I miss her so much! I plan to fly to SD in August to visit for a few days, will let you know when, perhaps we can get together (hope so, miss you). I will fly back to SD for the birth in October, and prob. be there a couple of weeks (depending on when Jusin makes it in). Even tho I miss Justin and he will be gone for a long time it is not as bad as boot camp! At least we can e-mail. Krista would love to see you anytime you make it to SD.
OMG - I thought I was seeing things on my page...ohhhh I was...it was YOU!!! I've missed you! Try to keep up on the Makin news but there is so much going on in our worlds now ...right?!
Think of you often and hope you and yours are doing well. Nick just got orders last week...he still has a couple of months of school left but he will be heading ...Hawaii. USS CHung Hoon DDG -93. Let's catch up sometime.
