Your the second person to talk about the beautiful women in Guam. I was talking to a friend of mine that was in the Air force, he loved Guam and the women. He also told me it was a beautiful island then went on about the women again. don't feel bad I haven't heard from Matt in over a week. He must be busy, There for a while he would call every night. It must be a beautiful woman. LOL
Sorry I'm just not getting back to you. Wasn't sure how all this works, but I think I may have just figured it out. First let me say "Thank you" for your welcome note. It is nice to know there is all kinds of support out there. My son is in Lemoore, CA. From what I understand, he will be deployed sometime next month, so my husband and I are planning a trip to CA to see him before he goes. Every time we talk to him he sounds pretty happy which is what keeps my spirits up.
It wasn't my sons bike accident. It was mine. He delayed going in to take care of me. I was in the hospital for 6 weeks and was unable to work for 4 months after that. I had broke both arms and a leg and shattered my entire face (which they have since reconstructed) so I was unable to do much of anything for myself. I don't know what I would have done without him (and my other two children). I felt bad that he had to delay his entry but was thankful to the Navy for letting him. Thanks for the welcome. I'm looking forward to going to his graduation in a month.
Hi!
I am still alive!
I have been called back to work and have just been crazy!
I have so much to tell you!
I will call you tonight or tomorrow night.
How are the kids?
Morning Mary, I talked to John yesterday. Looks like Jacksonville is not in his future, They had him make his picks and FLA wasn't even an option. So we are looking at SD, VA or Guam. With my luck he will go to SD and Matt will go to VA. Then I will have one on each coast again. He took SD for his first pick because he said he knew that was Matts first pick and said it would be neat to be stationed with his brother. I can see that. And I've never been to the west coast so thats a plus for me too. lol If they both get VA that is close to home so I can live with that too. But Guam, ???? I just ask why, He said it looked like a cool place to be. But that is third pick so we will see. I also was told that Maybe, just Maybe John will come home for 4th of July, that made my day. They have a 4 day weekend and he said airfair isn't to bad right now. So why not.
Mary,
Thank you, we did have a wonderful time. I must tell you...we were walking to where we would do the flag ceremony and when the crowd saw all the Sailors walking they all stepped aside and started cheering and clapping and shaking their hands. The other Moms' as well as I got so emotional...we had to keep telling each other not to cry cuz it would ruin our mascara. It was such a great time. Hope you can join us sometime.
Godspeed and OOHRAH to your Sailor (s)!
I will definetly be joining the AECF group, just as soon as I slow down here at work!!! My husband, daughter and granddaughter will be flying up there when he graduates..just was told not to book the flights to early in case he is held back for any reason, ie: injury, etc. I thought his grad date was July 31st (his 21st birthday!!), but not quite sure yet...hopefully, I'll find out soon...
Thank your for your comments! I checked with my sons paperwork at the house when I got home from work yesterday..and he is in the AECF! I guess he will be in the advanced school for 1 year there in GL. He is very excited to begin his career in the US Navy! We are a very close knit family and we miss him terribly! Looking foward to his graduation in July.. they tell me it is an unbelievable experience....
Thanks for the welcome Mary. My daughter Rachael is very excited to get this new path started. I'm very excited to found a group that can help with questions and answers.
Hi Mary, Stephen is flying home tonight...but I will not see him until tomorrow. His girlfriend wanted to pick him up...so I stepped aside to let them have some "alone" time. I will try to take some pics, but Stephen hates me taking any. I will just shoot them anyhow. Can't wait to see him....won't want to let him leave on the 13th
Mamma Has spoken. I think if I had a girl I would do the same. Some of the things my boys have done, it that was my daughter I would have killed them. LOL One day at a time. thats all we can do.
No problem, I figured it out when she let me know what her son did and which ship he was on. Actually, I am surprised Stephen did not choose Japan, since he did have that option.
I feel your mamma pain Mary. I know all to well about young love and marriage. Talk to her, make sure this is really what she wants. I'm guestioning a Georgia girl wanting to live in Upper state New York. And a Army guy whats that all about? lol They will follow their heart no matter what we say.
How come Nicks school was pushed back. I thought he was done in July.
Oh wow ok. Is there any chance he could be doing C school on the west coast? or is it more likely for the east? And how long is C school? Thanks for answering my questions!
Hey! yeah my boyfriend graduates in June and then has all the school ahead of him. He is going for ET and seems pretty excited so far about that. The only question I have is where C - school is located for that. I know that his A school will still be in GL.
Thanks
Kelly
