Lynn,
I think that the TN Moms got together sometime in April but
I was not able to go. I am hoping that they will do it again
in the future. My son is station in King Bay, GA and is on
the USS Maryland, Blue Crew. He is getting ready to go
back out soon for about 3 months.
Hey Lynn! Thanks for the invite. My son is still in A school Great Lakes for Advanced Electronics. Let me if you will be near Franklin anytime soon...coffee??
Hi Lynn, I had to come check out your page to see where you were from because I know another Austin on the Stennis!! He's much older and from TX not TN! Funny coincidence though!
Hi Lynn...thanks for the comment and the add...how exciting...YES!! We are very very close...I have been to Erin plenty of times...Well, Tyler's time is drawing near...he graduates (HS) May 23rd, then leaves for boot camp on June 22nd...and the time is flying...I want it to slow down!! Honestly, I am still completely ignorent of what to expect, what will go on, anything and everything...any advice on anything would be greatly appreciated!!
Hi Lynn
Thanks for adding me as a friend. Hope, Kentucky is about an hour SE of Lexington, Ky. It is nesttled between Mt. Sterling and Owingsville, Ky.
There isn't a red light and barely any stop signs.
My son Carl is an Airman on the Stennis. He has been enlist for 4 yrs and is getting out sometime this month :)
He has a 2 1/2 yr old daughter, Kayla and one due in September.
When he comes home, him and his family are coming for a visit. YAY!!!
We are in St. Johns, Az right now. My husband is a pipe fitter and we travel A LOT.
So when I heard about the sailor that died on the Stennis and they were still trying to contact the family, Well let's just say I FREAKED out , just a little, and that's putting it mildly. I counld'nt even talk to the Ombudsman. She thought I hung up, Because I could not breath. When I finally was able to tell her the info she needed and she said my sailor was safe, If I wasn't already sitting down I would have hit the floor. I just raised my hands up to JESUS and thanked him and just prayed for him to keep his hands on the family of the fallen sailor. Oh just thinking back to that day is making me shake.
I again thank you and send your sailor my best and tell him I said Thank you for serving our country.
We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.
Hi Lynn, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley, has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT. What is Austin doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat
P.S. There is a group for family on the USS Stennis
