WOW !!!! What you wrote touched me in a way I just can not explain. My son is in A-School now in GL. I miss him so much and some days I still can not breath when I think of him so far away.. I know how you felt about the pecking order. I will take your words to heart and when he comes home on leave I will try to stop before I make a mistake and push him away. Was very happy yesterday, he just got his cell phone and when he wanted to see if it survived the trip in a box he chose to call me before anyone else. I was so happy. I said " you got your phone" and HE said "Yes I wanted to make sure it worked so I turned it on and dialed your number and look it works" I don't think he realized what those words meant to me.
Well now I am rambling on. I hope someday I can Pay it Forward like you have but for now I just need to "Learn how to walk" Hopefully I can come grab some great advice form you.
Thank you for being the only person so far since he has left that makes me feel like the whole in my chest might be filled someday again.........

Thank you girl. It was the greatest. My son and the others are grown men/US Sailors. I want to thank you for all your support. You are wonderful. Now you know time spent was to short. This is part 2 of the tears. But to see him put me at peace somewhat, but you know he is still my baby. Hope your Sailor and family are well. Thank you and stay in touch.
RE: chat last nite: Called my son, but didn't see u back on chat..Anyone he says the first or second day..remembers being in sweats still..lol. Says as u prob know it is pretty much a blur..hope it helps. Anyway, we got to have a great phone conversation, so it worked out well on my end. Have a great day.
Hello Leah, Boy am I having a tough time thinking about my son. Please keep me in your prayer. I have to go on a field trip this morning to watch how maple syrup is done. Have seen it before at ta different place but it will be good for my daughter to do. I fellow mom is driving, I fee like amixer that my whole inside in it and not stoppped, Hope all is well with you. Thank you so much for all the prayers and the love. I really felt them. One step down one to go tomorrow. My young man is my hero. God Bless you! He handed me a CD that he said I can't listen to it til tomorrow on our way home. On the CD he wrote "Goodbye" and I promised I won't listen to it til tomorrow. He has a special thing on his computer where he can talk and record and sing, I believe that's what it is.
Oh my gosh!!! Thank you!! I couldnt believe you did that for me!! How wonderful!! I have tears in my eyes and crying Im so happy! Silly uh? Little things like that mean so much; thank you thank you so much for doing that! It so sweet!

I just received an email that my membership was declined because Eric is not a new sailor. I guess 6 years of service in which he recieved 3 medals of achivement (sp) is too much for Navy Moms Online. I don't udnerstand and am very upset. I thought Moms that haven't already gone thru bootcamp. DEP and anything else could benefit from Moms that have already been through it. Oh, well. I lived without this site for the 6 years before...he'll be where I can talk to him at will now...I should be fine. How can I get you my phone number so if YOU run into a Mom that need cheering up from a SaltyMom you can give it to her. And I you need anything you too can call...for that matter any Mom that needs help.
