I'll have to ask the kids when I see them. The Quilt show is at the convention center downtown from the 22nd - 24th. I'm sure there will be lots of advertising. It's a huge annual event. I also have the info on my web site, under "show schedule". The web add is the same as my business name. We can touch base again when it gets closer. Just an idea.
Can you imagine? We might have met, or at least our kids! Chad was on the Lincoln and at NPTU Goose Creek as a Nuke. He graduated in 99. Next was Bryan in 01. He went Air Force and has been to Japan and Vegas. Emmy is at her first duty on the Chung-Hoon. She was in color guard (captain her senior year) and graduated in 05 (I'm pretty sure). We moved here in 06. i drove for FedEx there, 8 years at DM, which I loved! I'll be at the Quilt Fiesta in January with my business called Jillions of Buttons. Might you attend?
Hi, Melissa. We lived in Tucson for 11 years before moving to Colorado. All 3 of our kids went to Sahuaro High and all 3 went military. I'll be there in January, too! Can you tell me more about you and yours?

Yeah, you are right, probably a long way off, but still on my bucket list, and I'll keep my fingers crossed Matt will be in port then. Tyler has a couple good friends from bootcamp that are both stationed there.
My daughter arrived in San Diego safely today. She got to spend two days with my family in Tucson, and I am happy as that was the only relaxing part of her leave...here at home she had so much to ''sort' through, and demands on her time. Then, her ex fiance was killed on a motorcycle while she was here, so she had to go to that memorial service/funeral and it was very emotional time on top of the anxiety of not knowing what to expect in San Diego as her ship is deployed...she had been told they MIGHT fly her out to it immediately. For now, she is the barracks, and free til Monday...at loose ends. Thanks for your offers of help...she had friends there that helped her out! Is your son still set to come home for the holidays?

Hello.. My son just graduated from A school this past Friday. He has verbals for USS George H W Bush. Before he goes I want to be prepared. Communication is precious and I want to maximize it the best I can considering he'll not have much. Please tell me what I need to know. He is my oldest and first to leave the nest. Needless to say he's not the only one who has had to grow up. LOL
BTW...I graduated from Sahuaro HIgh School and U of A. My sister lives off Oracle (on Kanmar) and my mom lives right by Ft Lowell Park. Now that Sara will be in SD, I just may end up moving back home (except teachers' salaries there are even LESS than here!)
My daughter graduates CTT 'C' school on Oct 22. She plans to drive straight over from Pensa on I-10, stopping here, then on the Tucson for a day or so with family, then to SD...she does not have her report date yet. She has several friends already stationed in SD, and another aunt so I am not TOO worried about her...just will miss having her within a day's drive. I love Pensa too...Her husband will follow when he finishes CTR C school in December. He is assigned o the carrier Boxer. Have a safe trip!
