I know how difficult this is for us all as parents this is the first Thanksgiving that I will not have my son at our table. I do not mean to be on the down side but with this mission that he is on it does have it’s up and downs for both him and I. I wake up every day at 4am to wait for that phone call from my boy to hear about his day. And he sounds good and the best part out of our conversations is him telling me how much he loves and misses us. Thank goodness for technology because I would be going crazy. I am doing the Thanksgiving dinner because I am thankful that with everything that’s going on in this world I have great sons that are fine gentlemen. My advice to everyone is take it one day at a time. I have set goals to get me back on track and I am making plans to visit him very soon.

Thank You Ladies for being here it’s a great support system.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all

I know how you feel Lisa.  My son too is MIA this Thanksgiving and Christmas. I write him a letter everyday and mail it. He will be swamped with letters for sure. I am doing Thanksgiving for my family and I promised my son that we would carry on without him.  I wish all the moms out there a Happy Thanksgiving, and lets keep our heads up and make our children,as proud of us,as we are of them.
