Does anyone know if there are there any links to Dahlgren pages, for C school?

AntiM I know! I'm so curious to see how they will make this work for ET and FC when there's so much content necessary for their job, cutting it down to about 30% to start doesn't seem possible, but I know they ran a pilot for a different program two classes before my husband. They were doing much more digital learning. I see so many benefits, but I also worry about how prepared sailors will be arriving into the fleet. I'm just making sure my husband stays current for now, just in case. If they start doing mobile classrooms and VR training, I don't want him to fall behind the technology and not perform as well as younger sailors that will be on the program from the start.

CherylG it's not a dumb question. I buy my copies at that gas station, but I do forget not everyone on here is a spouse that's going on base. The link AntiM posted or just google military times. Both will have the articles for the public to view and share :).

Allison, the changes certainly seem interesting.  I can see it for some ratings, but for AECF, not so much.  But then, they are always changing something.  I had a module on vacuum tubes...

Allison probably a dumb question, where do we find Navy Times so we can follow? Facebook?
Comment by Allison on February 23, 2017 at 11:47am
If you guys aren't following the Navy Times newspaper, check out their plans for A School. They're still working on how the program will work for ET and FC, but if/when it comes out for those rates, it's going to be a real game changer! I think it's a great idea, but I reminded my husband, and I hope you'll remind your sailor's as well, this could have an impact on competition for promotions in the future. It's important for them to stay on top of these changes, so they can remain competitive with incoming sailors in a few years as the content and technology is changing.

I lived on the other side of the hospital from RTC Great Lakes (literally could drive across the street into the parking lot), and my duty driver when I got seperated actually drove me home since it was so close, and it STILL took about two weeks for my box to get home to my husband. It'll come soon. Don't worry. Focus on writing letters so when you get his letter with his address, you have plenty to send him. They've also started allowing recruits in some barracks the privilege to send emails during holiday routine on Sundays. This is only if they are using the iPads in your recruit's division and they are doing well, so I'm not making any promises, but it is a possibility :). We had iPads on Ship 3, but I know those in my PIR group on Ship 2 didn't have them. They're still testing the program.

I also recommend getting in your recruit's PIR group on here when you know his division number and on the bootcamp group like AntiM said. There is also a Facebook group called GLAM (Great Lakes Area Military) Wives. I would recommend that as well, and they will be able to help you learn more about different areas and apartments available in the area.

@ ismenia

Are you in the boot camp group too?  It is much more active and will give you more answers about basic and graduation.
