This is my first time on this wonderful site.  My son arrived at boot camp early AM on the 21st.  We just received the  box yesterday with all of his belongings except his wallet, I am hoping they allowed them to keep this.

Would love to hear from other Mother's who have a son or daughter that arrived the same time.

NavyMom456- WOW! You received THE BOX so quickly. My son arrived the day before your son. I am still waiting on the box to arrive. Yesterday I did see a FedEx truck close by that was getting put onto a tow truck. I am wondering if maybe that truck had my son's box on it and that has now delayed delivery. UGH. I believe I read they allow the SR to keep their wallet, DL, SS card, and Bible.

How old is your son? What is his rating going to be? How are you holding up? This site is awesome and I am so happy to have found it. So many helpful and encouraging people on here. We are all in this together no matter what stage our sons/daughters are at. I hope to keep in touch.

NavyMom456, yes, he would have been able to keep his wallet.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in April. You will meet others with loved ones who left last week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together.

I left additional info for you on your My Page.

NavyMom456, my daughter left last week too, on April 17. I got her box last Friday but no form letter yet. This site has been amazing for support and information. It's so nice to know you're not alone in this roller coaster ride!

My son left on April 18th. I received his box on the 22nd (Sat) and form letter came on Tues the 25th. I am currently waiting for his personal letter, praying it is this week. I still have yet to do anything with his box. His dad had opened it but left everything inside for me to go through when I am ready.

I'm new to boot camp too. My so left last, April 27. Feeling lost since he is our youngest, and last one out of the house.

My son is also the youngest in our family. He left a week ago. I received the box but still have no address or PIR info. His recruiter assured me he would call with the information by the end of last week, but he isn't returning my calls or texts. Any ideas on how I can get his address?
