Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Daughter leaves in July 2017
My daughter is leaving in July for boot camp (after her high school graduation). She has been in DEP since August 2016 and signed a contract for MA (she's excited about A-school!). Looking forward to meeting others as time gets closer!

My son is also leaving for boot camp in July after high school graduation. He's very excited about the entire thing and moving forward with his life ... I'm feeling very bittersweet, since he's my youngest. He's been in DEP since February of this year.

The closer it gets, the more excited my daughter gets. I'm getting more emotional....although I couldn't be prouder! I'm sure they'll both do well after being in DEP for some time.

I have no doubts! My son has been going for the Warrior Challenge PST's for his rating, and is so ready. The hardest thing he has dealt with so far is learning how to hurry-up-and-wait, but he's getting used to that .. haha!!

My daughter is so ready to graduate and leave for boot camp. Luckily, we planned two vacations at the end of June so we can spend some quality time together before she leaves. She has senioritis bad!! :)

My daughter has been in DEP since May 1, 2017. She was to leave Sept. 6, 2017, but they have moved it up to July 25th. I am not ready for this. High school graduation isn't even over until this weekend. This is my youngest of three daughters and I really am having a hard time with this.

It is getting harder (and I'm getting more emotional) as the time gets closer. My daughters High School graduation is the first week of June. I'm thankful that we planned two vacations at the end of June to spend time together. She is my middle child and my youngest daughter is going to miss her a lot!!!

Hello! Well, the time is now here... I've been checking out this site for a few months now, and figure it's time to get on and get in touch with others that have their child leaving in July. My daughter is leaving July 6th, after her high school graduation (which is tomorrow.) I am really not ready! It just makes me sick to my stomach when I think of her leaving!

I too will be shipping my daughter out on July 25th. She just graduated high school over the Memorial Day Weekend. I am not ready for her to go. This is my youngest daughter and the only one to go into the military. She is so pumped up, but I am nervous and excited for her. I occasionally cry and I know I will when she leaves.
