Thank you ShawnMom, I was going to say I remember someone in a wheel chair at my daughter's PIR but that was several years ago.  It's nice to hear from someone who is more recent confirm that!!!

Not sure if this has been posted yet but the website for Recruit Training Command is pretty informative. In the Family Guide, condensed and tailored for graduation.  Website explains companies and the 900 series, families dos/don'ts for graduation and the different airports.  Daughter's PIR is 4 August. Hope to see some of you.Cheers.  http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/

Thanks Anna!  I sure will!  Waiting here in Chicago airport for Hubby and Son to arrive on separate planes...driving to Meet and Greet, then back to get Son who works late in NY.  Looking forward to tomorrow!

SailorsLIMom,

We are here to stay with each other regardless of the status of our daughter's career - whether they are in bootcamp, on deployment, or even separated.  NavyMoms are NavyMoms forever!!!!  Please stay in touch with us!!!!

ShawnMom,

That is fantastic.  I am jealous to be nearby any one of my kids for any extended period of time!!!!  Enjoy!!!  And best wishes to your girl on her next phase of Navy life!!!!

ProudMama,

Don't know of anyone right off hand but if I cross paths with any other new moms with that ship/div, I'll put you in touch.  Do you know her PIR date yet???

SailorsLIMom,

Can't believe her PIR is this Friday!!!  How time flies - but I'm sure it crawled for you!!!  I hope you enjoy watching and visiting!!!

JayDee,

Well I'm happy she got her orders but it's double edged for you cause she will be out to sea soon.  Just remember - we will still be here for you as you prepare for this next journey!!

ShawnMom,

Will you be able to see her graduate from C school??  I forget off hand what her rating is, some C schools have graduations that are open for families.  Wishing her all the best!!

herNavyMom,

That has to be so hard that you are overseas and she doesn't have other resources to be able to contact you.  I hope for all of you that her time at bootcamp goes quickly so you'll have other options to communicate with each other!!!

My daughter finally got orders and will be heading out to meet her carrier. I'm a bit anxious but she's excited for this next step in her career.
