I mostly let the girls hold her except when they were shopping. LOL but I kept telling Tahlia, "remember this face, Grandma's coming to see you in 3 weeks!" and she'd just laugh and giggle out loud. Rates right up there with baby feet and cheeks, Those laughs are Precious!
Got to surprise my sailor on the 16th! only a few hours but had a GREAT time! She was in PA with one of our adopted daughters, I told her another adopted daughter lived an hour away with her new husband. They decided to drive up and see her. We were in Akron visiting my eldest son with our eldest daughter and her husband....So Yes, we made that extra hour and a half trip to surprise all of them. In the picture you see my 4 girls and 3 of their husbands. Our son had to work and couldn't go, but he was just down to visit them and to meet Tahlia. The 16th was the first time 2 of them had met their niece.... !!! We all went to Carter and bought out the store. LOL
Esti'smom. HUGS and Prayers for your daughter. God has this. He has a Plan. God Bless . Stay on or visit often, we still want to know how she's doing :) Sending Love and Positive vibes.
Anna, so glad you're staying busy, LOL these kids never give us time to catch our breath. But that's okay great memories for those between times.
Thanks for the update, glad to her she doing well. Prayers will continue.
JayDee, We've been hot, same as you, for 2 weeks. SO Muggy and Humid! hard to breath....way too much rain and bugs! YUCK finally cooled off last 2 nights 54!!! my kind of weather. but here comes the rain and 89'0s again.....life!
Glad to hear daughter is doing well and that her husband is stepping up makes my heart happy. :) Hahaha I remember when we finally got a bedroom at kids houses, son's we share with 6 cats. not when we are there I close the door. Sailors' we share with a dog but when we're there he sleeps under the bed. But these old bones can't do floor and couches anymore. other daughter has a futon, we got a 8 inch mattress for it but we usually only stay 1 night so it works, plus it's in the basement of their condo, so it's nice and cool and has it's own bathroom and laundry, TV, Computer...can't complain. LOL
I didn't know if anyone had found this website yet, but they have some awesome shirts for moms with daughters in the navy. I have already found at least 6 that I want. https://motherproud.com/collections/navy-mom/products/navy-mom-prot...
@BSunshine, I am going to stuff her wallet full of moleskin now! lol
@Esti's Mom, prayers for your daughter and whole family. I know this is a hard time and I know this is a very real possibility for my daughter or anyone when they go in. Just keep up the great work encouraging her, nothing is like a mothers soft place to lean on.
Hello Ladies,
Esti’s Mom,
I am so sorry to hear about your girl’s separation!! What a kick in the teeth for all of you!! I too hope for total healing mentally and physically, and that there is something even greater for her in the future!! Cyber hugs to you and your girl {{{ . . }}} Please keep us up to date!!!
ShawnMom,
Such reassuring words you speak!!! And so true
Lahrrh92,
Thank you!! But anymore now being without internet is frustrating as all heck. Because if we don’t have internet it means we also don’t have cell service and that’s how I keep in touch with my kids!!!
BSunshine,
Prayers for your girl and her test!!! I hope she has supportive mentor shipmates, cause they usually help those first timers with their test!!! Be sure to keep us posted, but just keep in mind – it takes a long time to get the results.
Granma Faye,
So happy you got to hear her voice!!! Glad she is doing well!
My girls have been keeping me busy these past 4 days!! Off to dinner and then some bowling!!! Our NavyMom with the new heart is progressing!! I've seen pictures of her sitting up and I think they are trying to get baby steps from her. Her coloring alone tho is just so much better!!! Thank you so much for the prayers - I've passed them along to her, and I will keep you posted!!!
