krikris,
Absolutely!!!! Does she have a ship date yet?? And will you be going to MEPS with her when the time comes????
How exciting!!!
Amy,
Any news yet??
So sorry Amy!!! I hope she's able to dig down and find that determination to push through!!! One minute doesn't sound like much but when you're running against the clock it might as well be 10 minutes!!!!!! Praying she makes it!!
Amy,
Did she suffer any injury that is taking more time to heal before she can finish up her run? I have known of sailors that have spent several weeks in FIT while healing from one thing or another. They do eventually pass and move on to the next phase of their career. Trust me, in several years this will just be a little blimp on their path!!! I'm hoping she heals and trains, and passes that run!!!! Praying for the best for her!!! Keep us posted!!
MoparMom,
One of the best cars I ever had was a 69 Dodge Dart!!! I loved that car and used to do all the tune ups and repairs on it myself!!!!! They just don't make cars like that anymore!! So glad to hear your daughter is doing well and continuing on to C school!!!! Love that she'll be able to come home for Christmas!! I miss spending the major holidays with my kids!!
Nukole5horses,
So glad your girl sounds positive and doing well on her tests!! Informed Delivery is a new service you can sign up for through the Postal Service where you will be notified when you receive a package or special piece of mail like a letter from your sailor!!!!! Go to www.usps.com for more info.
Oleander,
I wish we could have met on the pier but looking back and understanding that they needed to get the previous passengers off quickly so they could get the boat cleaned and ready for the next cruise, they were getting all of us out of there quickly. No sooner had my son put the bags in the trunk and everyone got in the car that the dock traffic cop was waving me to pull out!!! I couldn't even check GPS for where we wanted to go for breakfast!!!!
Hi everybody -- Yes!!! Can you believe Anna and I were within minutes of meeting?!? That was amazing!
I'm so happy to hear your son and DIL had a wonderful time Anna! We just got home last night and can't stop pouring over our pictures, talking about and re-living experiences. Wow! What an amazing trip! Alaska has been a bucket list item for years. We loved it so much I refuse to check it off our list - I'm moving it to our "must do again" list! Absolutely breathtaking! Meeting you Anna would've just been the cherry on top!!!
Hugs to you all, prayers for all our sailors' safety!
I see we've been pretty quiet on here lately!! I just left my Sailor son's place after a wonderful two and 1/2 week visit!!! We took care of the granddaughter while son took his wife on a romantic Alaskan cruise!!! They had a fantastic time and hubby and I were happy to help make that possible. Their 10th wedding anniversary is coming up early next year and they never had a honeymoon!! It was like giving them a wedding gift after all these years!!! Funny thing of all - - I found out Oleander is also taking a cruise to Alaska, leaving the day my son and daughter get back - - on the SAME SHIP!!!! We almost had a chance to meet on the pier but we had to pick up son and DIL really early and get out of there before the next group started arriving to check in for the next cruise!!! We were sooooo close!!!! What a small world!!!!!
Hope everyone is doing well and all our sailor girls are well.
