Welcome MomOf4, I also have 4 children, my youngest joined 10 years ago and it's been a whirlwind!  She's married now to a Navy man and they have a baby girl so she's back stateside and has left the Navy, (her husband is a lifer).  Prayers going up

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

Dear Lord, I grumble and complain sometimes and yet I have so much for which to be thankful. I’m so grateful for the way you continue to bless me.

I am so happy you heard from your son MomOf4 and will keep him in prayer for his run on Wednesday.    Welcome BigMosMom to the Navy Prayer Wall.

Phew! heard from my SR today and got the whole story from him. His spirits are good and he will retest the run in Wednesday - he only needs to shave 20 seconds off his time and he said he’s been working on it everyday and is confident he will pass. Puts this momma’s heart at ease to hear from him ❤️

Welcome MomOf4 to the Navy Prayer Wall. I understand totally , it is a whole new level of trust in the Lord to learn as we give our kids to Him especially when we have not heard from them. But in boot camp they can only call when allowed. Praying for you and your son .

Hello, I’ve got 4 kiddos 18, 16 (boys) 15, 13 (girls). My oldest left 8/15 for boot camp. He was supposed to PIR 10/6. On 10/3 we got the recorded message that he would not be graduating because he didn’t pass the PFA run. He was put in a FIT division and we haven’t heard from him since. I know they assess the run on M W F and that when he passes the run, he will go to battle stations at the next available opportunity.

I know that as I’ve poured out my disappointment to the Lord that He spoke to my heart and told me: “Trust me and let me do a work in (my son).” I am standing in Romans 8:28 that all things happen FOR good. Coincidentally, our pastor has been preaching on that very verse for the past two Sundays. I know that the Lord has a plan. That His ways are not my ways.

It’s a new adventure to trust my young adult son to the Lord in such a grand way - since we haven’t heard from my son in over 3 weeks. I just want him to know that I’m proud of him no matter what!! And that I know he will succeed.

This waiting game has me on a whole new path of spiritual growth. It’s tough. But I know that God is for us!

Thanks for listening! GrandmaFaye so glad to see you here, too! Thank you for your encouragement and prayer.

Yes, agreeing with you both in prayer. This has been an active hurricane season.
