Oh Phoenixmom don't worry! I meant as in, say, giving a date for her recruit's graduation and transfer to CA, or any specific info on his liberty. The things you shared are public info, we just don't want to share too many details of a specific sailor's journey.

More info on SB and SWCC. It doesn't seem like he'll be staying in GL after boot camp, but he should be able to confirm when he gets his orders before he ships out of RTC. Chicago is an amazing place to see, if you're able, I would just plan on staying the weekend, and if he stays great, you're already there, but if not, you can always head into the city.

Not sure how they break down the phases but this is what I found. you can type in SWCC into google and it will give you much info.

Godisgoodallthetime, here is what I could find on swcc if I am thinking of the right rating as SB.

Looks like the go to California. Please be careful sharing info about your recruit's name, whereabouts, and travel plans as well as your own when you're visiting him. Congrats to him!

Junogirl As of right now we don't know the plan or what's next.    From what I read, yes he can try again for another rate and meet with a career counselor to help him through that.

I hope eventually that happens that it is recognized, right now they have done a great disservice to my sailor.  Can't even be polite about it at this point.

I can truly understand, anyone would of been upset being talked down to like that. I cant even imagine what my Son would of Done, he is pretty quite but I know what a short fuse he has and the temper that can come out. I have never heard anything like that! You have one heck of an amazing Son and for this he will truly make his way and stand tall!

NBRob, does this mean your son is shipping out soon? But has another chance at an "A" school after a year or so? How does this process work?  Also, I think at some point your son's initiative and intelligence will be rewarded, and he will get a rate he likes.
