Since a few of us now have an Instant Pot I thought it would be fun to start a discussion so we can share our favorite recipes and tips (and so we don't fill up the day to day comment thread).  Let's see what we can make!  Post your recipes (and pictures too!).

I tried these country style ribs in my Instant Pot last night and everyone loved them! They were so tender they were falling apart. I found the recipe online and I didn't change a thing.

  • 3 Pounds Country Style Pork Ribs
DRY RUB:
  • 1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt, Paprika, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Pepper, Cumin.
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, Optional
  • 3/4 Cup Beef Broth, Water can be substituted
  • 1/2 Cup BBQ Sauce, Plus more for serving
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl mix together the dry rub ingredients until well combined.  Spread the dry rub evenly on both sides of the ribs and massage into the meat.

  2. Pour the beef broth into the bottom of your Instant Pot.  Add the ribs to the Instant Pot and pour over the BBQ sauce.

  3. Lock the lid on the pressure cooker.  Cook on manual, high pressure, for 45 minutes. After cooking is finished, use the natural release method.  This will take about 15-20 minutes.

  4. Remove ribs and serve immediately with extra BBQ sauce as desired!

I made ribs too but I didn't cook mine near as long.  I don't remember what type of ribs they were though - bought 2 racks at Costco and they had the dry rub already on them.  For my liquid I used 1 cup coca cola, 1 tsp of ACV (apple cider vinegar) and a splash of liquid smoke.

I cooked them for 25 minutes with about a 10 minute NPR.

When they were done I cut them up, slathered with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and then put them in the oven at 450 for about 10 minutes.

Delicious!

We also just bought 2 more racks from our grocery story - they put the dry rub on them for us.  Stuck them in the freezer and think I'll do them this weekend.  So easy and so good!

Just saw this article on the internet today:

I tried the Instant Pot that everyone's obsessed with — and it totally changed the way I cook

Google the Mississippi pot roast for the insta pot - delicious!

Is that the one with the pepperoncini's?  I've seen it but haven't tried it.  Maybe I'll give it a try this weekend.

CRANBERRY SAUCE (I used the recipe from Zen & Spice)

  • 12oz fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 1 granny smith apple, diced
  • juice & zest from 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp sea salt

Instructions:

1.  Place the cranberries, apple, orange juice and orange zest in the IP.  Close lid and press "Manual" and set for 1 minute.  Let the IP naturally release pressure for 7 minutes, then do a quick release.

2.  Press the "Saute" button.  Add the sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt to the pot.  Stir to combine and use a spatula to break the fruit into pieces.  Cook for two minutes then remove from heat.

It's delicious warm or cold!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

After you make the cranberries you could make these cranberry brie bites (I haven't made them yet but they look so easy and yummy!).

I saw this online today - it's an article about the inventor of the Instant Pot.
