Good morning all moms!

I'm fairly new at this, as my son just went in on 3-6-2018.

I received the box on 3-9-2018, and of course the scripted phone call.  No form letter, or communication since that night, and I'm literally falling apart, and have no idea what I would do w/o all the love and encouragement you all share.

I hope to be better educated though reading all the post/blogs.

I pray for you and your children daily, and am sending warm hugs to all the momma's like myself struggling.

Blessings to all!

Hang in there!  Start writing your letters now so once you receive his address you can mail them out (# them in the corner so he knows what order to read them in).  Before you know it you'll be going to PIR!

I am almost in the same boat...my baby leaves on April 4th. It is very surreal...Love the idea of writing now and sending letters to him! Prayers to all!

Good luck my sweet friend....I am overwhelmed with sadness but so excited that I have raised such an amazing, selfless child!  :)

I plan to write and number letters, if he is a little homesick that should surely help!  :)

Good Luck and Blessings!

Hello JC’s Momma, I remember that day the box came and oh my god I couldn’t keep it together. I did however have a couple of friends who’s kids were there for 20 years and they all told me what to expect but nothing prepares you for when it’s your turn. Every day I wrote my boy a letter until he graduated. And that is what got me through it i talked to nimas if he was sitting across the table from me. I would picture him and give him a rundown of the days actives and how much we missed him I sent him pictures of the our family and giving him motivational words of wisdom to help him pull through and he did write not the amount I did but I told him don’t worry. Focus on getting though your studies and training and I will be there for you anytime anywhere. And he did great. So my dear keep your head up keep the phones in hand and write those positive letters and you will get through. These are our babies they are never away from our minds be strong for your baby!!! I am here for you!!! Smile he is making his momma proud!!!

It is very Surreal, I will never forget how emotional I was, all I did was cry, say his name I cried anytime he came to mind which was all the time I cried, I cried at work my Supervisor didnt know what to do with me LOL! I couldnt go into his room, I would pass by it look at the door and cried. I was a crying mess!

Hi! JC's Momma, I'm in your same boat. My son went in on March 14,2018. I never received the scripted call. It's been pure torture because i know nothing going on. I miss him so much. The sadness is so overwhelming.

Natalia, is there someone else he might have called? Perhaps his cell phone battery was dead. Have you received "the box"?

I left info for you on your My Page.
