Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Las cartas te llegaran en unos dias mas,  la caja   es lo primero que ellos mandan con sus pertenencias y con una nota de informacion,  las cartas te estaran llegando proximamente,  recuerdo   tambien haber recibido la primer llamada como por la segunda semana en sabado,  el caller ID salia Waukegan IL,  te recomiendo no separarte de tu telefono porque perderas tu oportunidad de hablar con tu hijo.    Este es el link para que te informes de su graduacion:  www.bootcamp.navy.mil/graduation.html

Hola,

Mi hijo tiene su graduacion el dia 6 de abril. La ultima vez que me llamo me dijo que me llamaria el sabado 31 de marzo para darme las indicaciones de su graduacion pero no me llamo. Tengo el viaje programado para el jueves 5 de abril, y aun no se nada!!! Alguien me podria decir con cuanto tiempo te avisan de la graduacion?

Les agradezco mucho toda la info que me puedan brindar.

Hi Olga - have you received his letter yet?  The letter will give you the official graduation date.  Don't make plans until you receive that letter as it could change by a week or so.  They don't always get to make calls as planned.  Keep your phone on you at all times so you don't miss a call.

(I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish but I was able to hit translate on this and your comments posted in English for me.)  I will try posting it again using google translate!

Hola, Olga. ¿Ya has recibido su carta? La carta te dará la fecha oficial de graduación. No haga planes hasta que reciba esa carta, ya que podría cambiar en una semana más o menos. No siempre llegan a hacer llamadas según lo planeado. Mantenga su teléfono en todo momento para que no se pierda una llamada.

(Lo siento, no hablo español, pero pude traducirlo en este y sus comentarios publicados en inglés para mí).

Olgal66, Debe recibir una llamada hoy o mañana cuando su hijo completa estaciones de batalla ('battle stations') que es su última prueba de boot camp. Dos divisiones hacen estaciones de batalla cada noche la semana antes de graduarse. Si usted es miembro del grupo de su división, muchas veces los miembros empiezan a anunciar cuando hayan recibido la llamada "Soy un marinero" ("I'm a sailor") y usted puede estar alerta para recibir una llamada. Espero que esta información le ayude.

Como dijo B'sNukeMoM, puede ser que complete estaciones de batalla durante la noche el miercoles y entonces recibiria la llamada el jueves. En ciertas ocasiones no pueden llamar pero si no recibe una llamada, son buenas noticias porque si no va a graduarse, RECIBIRA una llamada para informarle. Hay un dicho en el Navy, "semper Gumby" ("siempre Gumby"), que refiere a un hombrecito de plastilina que es muy flexible. Este es un rasgo muy importante para aprender como miembro de la familia Navy.

Hay que ser miembro del grupo de su fecha de graduacion. Dentro de ese grupo hay otro grupo para su division y la division "hermana". El grupo se llama:

PIR April 06, 2018 TG 22 - 11 Divisions 145-152, 810, 811 and 922. ...

Tiene que pedir que se haga miembro de ese grupo.
