I’m a basket case today. We are at MEPS watching our youngest daughter swear in and ship out to boot camp. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done! Prayers are appreciated and I’m so thankful to have this site to have support.

Hang in there!

Prayers to you and your future sailor! I was standing where you are exactly one week ago today. Every picture that was takien I’m crying, but it’s ok because they were tears of joy, excitement for him and a little worry. You will make it through as will your daughter. Continued prayers for you all

Check your My Page.

I also was at meps this morning watching my daughter swear in. She just texted me from the airport. Literally having anxiety ! Praying for our babies ❤️

Keep your phone near you. My son called from both airports and when he was ready to get on the bus. Then of course the "i"m here call was quick noisy and very late. We knew how fast that call is and it is scripted- I just spoke over him and said love you proud of you. I think he was flustered but we had to get that in one last time.

Tina,
Where was you MEPS? We are in TN, so Knoxville was ours.
Debbie we are in New York so meps was in Brooklyn. She just texted me to say she landed as I was typing this!!! Ughh my nerves lol

we are in California. My son landed in Chicago at 8pm chicago time.  Our MEPS was Sacramento.

She just called from the airport. She’s trying to find where to go. I totally understand the nerves! Lol

They wait at the USO

My son shipped out and made it to BC on April 17th...I know how you feel and am a basket case too. I cried when I got the call..he sounded like a robot and stressed. I hope to find comfort with fellow moms.

I got my “I’m here” call at 12:56am this morning. I could here them yelling in the background but just let her talk. I did squeeze in a “your dad and I love you” and she said I love you too then hung up. I cried myself back to sleep. I know it will get easier, but right now I can’t stop crying and feel lost. Prayers for your SR also. We’re in this together!
