I’m a basket case today. We are at MEPS watching our youngest daughter swear in and ship out to boot camp. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done! Prayers are appreciated and I’m so thankful to have this site to have support.

Hi Debbie, it is nerve wrecking and then hearing the yelling probably made you more worried and nervous. Please know you are not alone, we are hear for you every step of the way. there are no words to say, I was a total mess also. just know whatever info you need answer I or someone else will get it to you. You and your New SR. will be in my Prayers.

Philippians 4:6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Hi Debbie, Debbie here :) my daughter also shipped out on April 18th.  I am glad I found this group as a place to connect with other moms waiting for news and to show support to all sons and daughters.  I am thinking that their form letters should be here soon, thing is I think they only mail out one and her dad and I are divorced so not sure where the letter is going, but it will all be ok.

I understand how you feel. She called Monday afternoon and I missed the call. I was working and didn’t feel my phone vibrate. She called her dad when I didn’t answer, but I was devastated! She only called because she changed divisions and the one in her form letter is wrong. My husband said she sounded like a recording and when she finished talking he asked if she could hear him. They only talked about 30 seconds and he said they were both crying. She’s good though so I’m happy. I can’t wait to get her form letter. I hope your daughter mails it to you or at least your ex will tell you about it. Praying for your daughter with mine. Please keep in touch and I’ll see you at graduation!

Debbie, check your My Page.

Hi Debbie, just got word from my ex that he received the form letter with tentative graduation date of June 15th!!! Cant wait to here from her to find out what job she has.  How about you, have you heard anything?  Have a good night.

NavFam, I left info for you on your My Page.

No I haven’t received our letter yet. But when she called she did say June 15th for graduation! I’m excited.
