Did anyone’s recruit arrive to Great Lakes on may 10th? And have already received letter or call?

Laura, the only ones who have a recruit who arrived on the 10th who would have received a call at this point are those who are being separated due to failing two attempts of the run or those who may have called for additional info.

Your recruit would have had the run test on Friday or possibly yesterday if the division filled late. If he passed, then The Form Letter would have been mailed yesterday or today. If he failed and had to retake it, then that would have been yesterday or will be tomorrow and then The Form Letter would have been mailed today or will be mailed Thursday. "No news is good news!" If you have not received a call, then everything is good. See Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) and Fitness Improvement Training (FIT).

Check your My Page.

That’s what I keep telling myself, no news is goodbye news. I want to receive my letter and not a phone call. lol. Thank you Again!  I was just wondering if anyone on here had heard from their recruit

You are very welcome.

I have two friends who've had kids go before ours and they said don't expect a call at all.

Yes, don't expect a call, but do have your phone available from 8ish am to 8ish pm Central Time, and then be pleasantly surprised when you receive a call.

You may receive an "I'm still alive!" call in week 3 or 4 (calendar week, not DOT; the third Saturday or Sunday after arrival is common right now), but that call can come before or after that depending on when the RDC is able to schedule the phone banks. The "I'm still alive!" call or other calls the RDC schedules usually come in the mornings on weekdays except on the day of a PIR because the "I'm a Sailor!" calls, which are typically made 1 to 4 days before PIR now, are in the afternoon and evenings, but calls can come anytime during those hours on Saturday.  Calls on the day of a PIR or on Sunday come between 1 and 8 pm. Calls for security reasons or for information are generally made during regular business hours.  Remember "No news is good news!" See Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

Trish, I saw your message, you received a call? And your son arrived may 15th?

I meant no news is good news. Auto correct gets me

Hi, So I received a letter dated may 26th from him, but no form letter. I’m confused because on the pre recorded call he said “Do not show up to graduation i wont be there.” But when he actually spoke to us 31st he said he would be moved to another division after his 6 day rehab. On may 26th letter,  he doesn’t mention injury, but he does mention he failed first run. 11 out of 12 laps. He sounded positive about passing. And how others confessed to failing on purpose because they wanted to go home. He said he was focused on the he uniform and that was keeping him motivated. We all wrote to him today and sent it priority. Letter will arrive on Monday, 4th. I’m praying he reads letters before his next run so he’s extra pumped with our words. What do you think?
