I have to share this with you all.

Son has been at BC since 6/13/18, and I had given him my parents address to send his stuff home, as we live in a rural area, and I knew we wouldn't be home to sign for delivery.

Well, I'm sure in the chaos of that first night, he forgot.  I just got a call from a FEDEX driver asking if I was home, as he had the box for me at MY house.  I think this driver knew what he was delivering, because he asked me what time I got off work.  He said he would likely still be in the area at that time and volunteered to meet me out in my area after I get off work today to get the box to me!

UGH, when he said that, I burst into tears on the phone.

FEDEX Drivers are AWESOME!

That is great! Yes, the driver probably knows how much that box means and what it is.

Boogies Mom very Awesome! what a Bitterseet Moment for sure! Way to go FEDEX Man!

So glad to hear you were able to get your box today, FedEx does Rock! After reading your story I was peeking out the window all evening hoping my FedEx guy would show up but nope, I guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

Burst into tears as much as you want...I'll join you if you need somebody to cry with you. :)

Crying

My FEDEX driver did the same for me. He said his daughter was in the service so he knew what it was. Thank God there are still good people out there!

:o)

Just received the box today. I burst into tears.

(((((hugs))))) That's a cyber hug for you.

We got our "box" today but it wasn't a box...it was a padded envelope. I was actually elated and disappointed all at the same time. I know some kids donate their clothes and stuff but when we talked before he left the plan was to ship everything back. The bewildered look on my face was probably priceless but it made it so there were no tears!

I was happy to see that he was able to keep his watch, necklace and Navy pendant. I guess sometimes those get returned too but I had a conversation with him about not putting those in there unless told to. Now that I think about it I hope they're not with his clothes. LOL!

:o)
