Hi everyone! I am so excited!! In 7 days, I will get to hug my sailor at graduation from BC! Then I get to spend the whole weekend with her as she is staying in GL for her A School. :)

Oleander, yes, this is gorgeous weather. 73 right now with a low of 57. Dew on the grass this morning, and smoke from fires appear to be clearing out. As you say, everything is relative:)!

JayDee .... warmer in your car? I literally can NOT imagine that right now lol! I have my air turned down to 70 degrees at night. It makes me feel like maybe I won't dread going outside soon.  Spyder -- it's all relative isn't it? But green and 80's would be such a relief from moon landscape and 100's! I envy you!

Woohoo Anna!  Two good knees, you'll be unstoppable!

So I just saw that they're filming for the Top Gun sequel on the Lincoln in Norfolk.  I told my sailor to keep her eyes open that there might be some Hollywood types around the base.  Could almost hear her eyes roll when she read the text :).  Gotta admit that I'm not in to the whole Hollywood bunch but it would be cool to see it filmed.  Maybe some of our sailors will be visible in it!

Oleander and Spyder you'll be quite envious but yesterday it was 79 with zero humidity and this morning I woke up to 52 degrees!  Actually put on the bun warmer in my car on the way to work.  COME ON WINTER!

Awesome news Anna! Definitely keep us informed. I am currently in Seattle area with my daughter, but it was 88 here yesterday and felt hotter than hell...lol. but compared to Phoenix, freezing. Today low 60s, yay!
And welcome to all new mom's. This is a fantastic group, we are here for each other 24/7.

That's amazing news Anna!!! Keep us posted so we can send you lots of love, positive vibes and prayers during surgery! "low 100's" is when we have an arctic blast coming in from Canada - right Spyder? Sheesh! I'm over it already.

After bc and during the 1st year on her ship I had no idea what my sailor was talking about. She'd get so frustrated with me (even tho I googled every term I could remember). Finally I took her by the shoulders, looked her straight in the eyes and said, Pretend I never went to bootcamp! She got it : )

Blondie & JayDee

i appreciate your sense of humor

thanks  “acronyms” I couldn’t think of the correct word for Navy language.  Your Sailor’s girls didn’t better than mind. She barely said anything about nothing LoL LoL and here.....so thought.......,I was gonna get a play by play~~NOT!!! She ripped & ran the whole week. Before she left for BC, she was @  home a lot. I guess she said;  to heck with that. I had to reflect what I was as doing when I was 24....in the “1900’s” LMBO LMBO!!!!! I was happy passing her in our hallway, rubbing her feet or catching  a glimpse of her cuddled up in her bed.  Then she was GONE!!!! I missed her all I over again, but nothing like BC.

JayDee. Prayers going up for a successful  knee surgery & a speedy recovery

JayDee,

They get rather adept at evading the question don't they?!?!?!

Comment by JayDee659 on August 22, 2018 at 9:12pm

Anna, my youngest is planning on Thanksgiving and my oldest Christmas. I'd love to have them home together but time with each will be nice.

When I ask my daughter where they went her response is "I don't know, I'm reactor not navigation" sigh...
