Hello
We look forward to hearing about your sailors journey. How he/she likes being an MAA (MA) and which kind of job they are doing and how you are doing knowing what your sailor does for a living.
NOTE: Please help keep our sailors safe. Don't give out exact locations.Example: If he/she is in Iraq you can say Iraq but I would not say the name of the camp or a town near the camp. If they are on a ship don't give the last known location. Although some of that is public we don't in anyway want to jeopardize them.

Hello everyone, I am new here my son was at A school for Air Traffic Control. He wasn't really getting it so they ended up dropping him from the program at the very end right before graduation. He is will be on his way to A school in Texas sometime in October. I am a little nerves for him because he came out of boot camp back in April so he hasn't been doing any PT. AC school is very laid back.

Our SR is now in SA. He says there is a lot to learn - I think he is a bit overwhelmed going from basic to there.  Just trying to get his bearings.

Heather, yes having communication is the best.  I FaceTime with my son since he arrived at A school.  Hope he enjoys SA.  It’s hot here.  If you have any questions about SA, I’m available for info.

Hi there. My son just got to SA on Sat.  It's so nice to be able to chat with him now

We drove my son home after graduation. He had to make travel arrangements through the agency the Navy used to modify his flight for the date he was supposed to be at his assignment. We paid quite a bit of out of pocket expense to change the flight date and airport. It was nice to have the extra time with him before he left.

Hi All. My brother is graduating Master at Arms training on Friday (Lackland AFB San Antonio). The family has plans to stay the weekend as we thought he would be able to purchase his own flight home.

However, he informed us today that the powers that be assign him a flight home and he has no power over when that flight is. He might have to leave as early as the evening of the ceremony.

Is there any way he can change the date of the flight or fund his own way home?

Hi there!  My son leaves in 10 days for BC!  He is SO excited that his change of rate came through and he's now an MA...he waited since Sept for it to go through (sworn in last Aug) and he finally got the call mid-June.  He is beside himself.

Has anyone visited their child in Sicily while they are stationed there?
