Hi all. My daughter left for boot camp
6-17-14. I got " the box" today.
There was even a little post card inside
But I have a major case of the blues
Today. I'm so use to her being here
And since she's my only girl the house
Is extra lonely for me ( love my boys but it
Isn't the same) I'm really excited for her to be
Doing what she's always dreamed about
But I miss her so much !!!!

surfergirl~my daughter got to boot camp on 6-17. we got her box a week later and the form letter too....on the same day! i am missing her soooo much! i have another daughter at home. i try to stay upbeat for her, but it's hard. i got a call from her last Sat. morning! I had a heads up about it from seeing it on this website! i write her every single day. i can't wait to get a letter from her.....hoping it's this week! hang in there! i know what you're going through. I've never prayed so much in my life!

There's a website?  Please share

I meant this Navy Moms website
I got a call Saturday too. So good
To hear her voice and even got
A laugh out of her.
Awww❤. ....that's good! Guess what I did....... I bought a box of pastel colored envelopes to send her letters in and they fit the 4x6 pics too. A few days later I read on here that you should only use WHITE ones.....sending colored ones can get them in trouble! I am hoping & praying she doesn't get punishment for my mistake!!

You can send pics?

Yes!

Make sure you don't send loose pictures that can be felt through the envelope.  Anything that makes your letter stand out can cause unwanted attention from the RDCs to your daughter.  I would save a picture to my computer and print it out on regular white paper and then write or type my letter around the pics.

Anna-GOOD idea! I've sent several loose pics.....hoping she doesn't get in trouble over it!! I'll do as you suggested! Always learning!

OMG!!!! I feel your pain same here I just want to scream.  I have 3 girls, but she's my baby.  Bday today 18.  I miss my girl so much too.  Can u have a favorite?  lol

I just got my first phone call.  It's been 12 days since I heard her voice.  I'm crying like a big baby.  She sounded so good.

So glad you got to hear from her!!!
