Happy Halloween ladies!
Oneofalot,
Hope you enjoy your extra long weekend!!!
JayDee,
So much in one year for your girl!!! Oh I understand those tears!! I still get like that once in awhile, mostly thinking of the times when we could all get together. Maybe one of these days son Chris will be able to meet his brother-in-law!!! Those two have never been face to face yet!!!!!
Oleander,
Hope you get some nice rain without the strong winds. Save the Pirate Ship!!!!
No news on the knee. I went to the hospital Sunday afternoon and spent 7 hours there. Got a consult for orthopedics but, of course, haven't heard from them at all. I did get an appointment for next Friday with a new primary care so if nothing else I'll beg for an ortho consult from them!!! And maybe ask for a rush!!!!!! Will keep everyone posted!
Anna, we're expecting some of your rain today, love it! But...the dreaded wind arrives on Sunday : ( Hopefully the pirate ship masts don't fly off the roof! Any news on your knee?
Morning! Happy Friday everyone
Blondie, you're incredible. You're like a good fairy tornado! My goodness woman, you accomplish more in a day than most people do in a week! Fingers crossed for a good interview and a company that respects and appreciates you.
JayDee, you made me all teary! It's so easy to go immediately back to that emotion, isn't it? Wow what a difference a year makes. Sounds like my husband has what you have. Hopefully the meds will push you through to the other side of this thing and you'll be 100% again in no time.
Oneofalot I hope you're able to enjoy your weekends!
Finishing up "Pirate Cove" this weekend, making vats of chicken tortilla soup for our Halloween party. We're dressing up steam punk this year lol
I just realized that a year ago today I got the "I'm a sailor" call from my daughter! I had the same stupid upper respiratory and could barely talk when she called, but I so proud of her!!! Her PIR was 10/30. SO much has changed in that year. She's now married and in Prototype. One thing hasn't changed, I'm still sitting here crying thinking about it all.
Blondie, sorry that your vacation time is coming to an end, but it sounds like you got lots done to help your daughter out!
Hooray for a job interview. Hopefully you'll find someplace that appreciates all your hard work! Can't believe your current employer doesn't see what you do for them!
I'm recovering. The prednisone keeps me up at night and makes my face flush. But I can breathe and talk, my husband might not see the talking as positive....
JayDee,
So sorry you are under the weather!!! That is never good!!
Oleander,
Hope you get to hear from your sailor soon!!! And so happy you will soon have your oldest girl home for Halloween. Hoping we get to see some pictures. Will any of this rain heading across CA coming your way??
Oneofalot,
Hanging in there - how about you?? Daughter and baby doing well???
Oh no! I hope you fee better soon JayDee!
Good morning ladies, hope everyone is well.
Oleander - I'm sure you'll be glad to see your oldest tomorrow and hear from your sailor!
I've been fighting a viral infection of the upper respiratory. Doctor put me on some prednisone yesterday and some little cough pearls. They seem to be helping. I hate feeling crappy!
