Hi, my son finished A school in Pensacola in early Oct.  He got to come home for about 2 1/2 weeks and then went off to Norfolk, VA for C School.  C Shoool starts in Jan and runs for 52 days.  Then he is off with his squadron who knows where.  He is assigned to fix CH-53 Sea Dragon helos and is already working on them in VA.  He is glad to be taking a break from schooling.  Sadly, he cannot come home for either Thanksgiving or Christmas so that is a bummer.  I miss him.

navygirl12 - it's very likely they do! Especially since they both graduated the same day. Inbox me his name and I will ask my son if he knows him. Or, go to my profile and look at our pic (me, my husband, and son). Ask him if he recognizes my son.

Navywifenadmom, my boyfriend is in FC also, wonder if our sailors know eachother?

Angi: I expect my sailor home from his first assignment for Christmas. I will hug him for all the Navy Mom's who don't get to see theirs.  He is stationed now, after graduating A an C school in Pensacola, in San Diego - to the USS Lake Champlain- missile guided cruiser which is actually in dry dock- until it goes out in 2013. Not sure what they will have him do between now and then, but so far he is living on a barge that hoses sailors until temp quarters are given him... and he is cleaning things.

Hi ladies...it has been a long time.  My son completed his schooling at the end of August and was allowed to come home for a couple of weeks. He is deployed right now. Not too sure if he will get to make it home for the holidays.  For those of you that do get to spend time with your loved ones, enjoy!!! Give them all a big Navy Mom hug!!!

My sailor son is also about to finish up A School in GL, and then he too will be on hold in GL before moving onto C School. lol!! My son is in FC. I am sooo looking forward to his being home on Holiday Stand Down!! Haven't seen him since he graduated in April. Long time for a mom to wait for a hug and smile.

Hey ladies! long time since I have been on here. My sailor is just about to finish up A School in GL, and then he will be on hold for awhile in GL before moving onto C School. Just can't wait for him to come hom for Holiday stand down! How's everyone elses sailors doing?
Comment by Notsousual-Jen on November 7, 2011 at 12:48pm
My sailor is still in GL and will be starting C-School before the end of the month. He's about a week away from becoming a Petty Officer 3rd class so we're pretty excited. Once he's finished with school he'll be sent to WA!

How is everyone else's sailors doing?
