Deleting inactive members - The ad agency that handles N4M is in the process of updating the site.  If you have not been active since 12/1/15 you will be deleted to make room for new members.  You will be able to re-join.  If you don't want to be deleted you will need to post something to activate your account.  They have already started deleting members.”

Isn't technology wonderful!!

Hope all our Moms had wonderful connections with your sailors for Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Los Angeles Region Moms! I hope everyone had a great day. Daniel Skyped me last night because he was pulling duty all day today. I so needed to see his face and hear him laugh. He will be coming home on the 24th of this month and I can't wait to see him and wrap my arms around him!

Now that the craziness of the Holidays has subsided, perhaps we could arrange a meet & greet?  Would love to connect with all our So Cal folks in person!

Just saw this on another group page and thought it would be good to share it here as well:

We recently received notification about a scam that may be going around to the family members of deployed Service Members. It is unclear how this email originates with the family members but we were made aware of the issue by the fiance of a service member. She wrote to DOD officials asking why a family member of a military member would be expected to pay for a leave request, why the fee was so expensive and why the fee could not be deducted from his pay.

At no time, should a family member be expected to pay anyone in the department of defense in order for a service member's leave to be granted.

I am sending this to you to make you aware that there is a leave phishing scam asking individuals to send money to support leave for our Service members (see e-mail trail below). It isn't clear if this specifically targets the family members or if it is a blanket email being circulated.

Hello ladies, I am sorry I have been A wall for so long, many personal things going on.  I see a Meet n greet is in the works, my vote would be for the 10th also, I will still be in town, leaving on the 12th again: my oldest daughter is getting married and I am going out of town again to help her.

Lady Hawk, my son is already 2 years in. He is currently on a sub out there somewhere! He went to A school in Groton, CT. Where he will go after Great Lakes will depend on what he decides to do for is job. Navy=coastal so pretty much anywhere he may go should be nice.

If we are voting on dates, mine would be for the 10th.
