TxMom Hawaii is a beautiful place for a first duty station. My son-in-law and daughter are stationed there for their first duty station also. He got there last October and she came in December. They are enjoying it. We visited last June for two weeks and didn't get to see it all.

TxMom welcome. Hawaii is a wonderful place to start a Navy Career if anything because of the Hawaiian Foods and Beaches! Have a great time when you visit her next year!

So glad someone recommended this group, this is my daughter's 1st duty station.  She was very excited, she arrived in Oct.  She is doing well and has made friends.  We are very excited to be able to go see her next year, can't wait:)

Good Day Friends!

Anyone know how to set up Navy Housing to stay at when your Sailor is in Hawaii for a short layover? Short time to plan a visit with him while he is on Oahu. Thanks in advance.

Well, it’s OFFICIAL, my son just signed his re-enlistment papers 2 days ago to stay in the Navy for another 3 years! He’ll have Shore Duty now, no more deployments or long underways. Hasn’t been been assigned to “where“ yet, but should find out soon. So proud of him and his decision.

My son-in-law arrived last week. It is his first duty station. So far, he's made friends and likes it a lot. My daughter will be joining him in a few months, as soon as he can find them an apartment. Any advice?

Hey Y'all! My name is Leslie and my Sailor Son is stationed at NCTAMS PAC in Wahiawa! He has been there since January of this year. He, unfortunately, is having a really hard time...hates it there! He does not do outdoorsy things and is feeling shut in....any advise?
