Hoping all moms on here got to hear from their sailors yesterday! I was so happy to hear from mine. He is enjoying his Navy experience, but he says there is SO MUCH STUFF to learn in school. We spent a couple of hours video chatting. He was able to talk to siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles. I am so happy that he doesn't seem to be homesick, and that he is enjoying it even though it is difficult. We talked about so many things. I hated to hang up! Made my Mother's Day complete.

I would love to hear how you spent your Mother's Day!

I dread the day my son is deployed. Just started A school recently. I am so happy you heard from him. Much can be said in 2 sentences! My son is also
Hoping to be on a sub. Stay close by, I may need your support as the months go by! Praying it won't be long until you get to see your sailor!

Our son sent a Cubs jersey and a note that said he set up rooftop seats for his dad and me on July 4th! What a surprise. So excited....driving his jeep to him as a treat for graduation from A school.

Goose Creek here I come!

Yay! So happy for you!

I was so happy to hear from my daughter on Mother's Day too!

It just made the day even better!

It's an honor and a privilege to be a part of this group......our kids are working to take on difficult challenges to keep our nation safe and free.

Thank you for those of you who are paving the way for us newbies!  When it comes right down to it we definitely did something right or our kids wouldn't be where they're at.

Bravo Zula Nuke Moms!

Amen!!

My son is not a communicator. He once in awhile sends or acknowledges a text. But hadn't heard his voice since I dropped him off at airport 1/1/17. My other son is in the Army, I hear from him constantly. So on Mother's Day when he called me I was shocked! I felt so much love and bawled afterwards. He told me that one of the reasons he doesn't call is that he misses us so bad that it makes it harder on him to be away. He also revealed that he got very sick during finals and didn't graduate. It's taken me all week to process this. He is on hold for 6 weeks (now 5) and will have 4 more weeks to complete 2 classes and the finals. He will miss the opportunity to move to prototype someplace else that he was looking forward to and will most likely now stay where he currently is for prototype. He needs to see us but we haven't had the money to take such a big trip. In my mommy moment I promised that if I had to I would lie, beg or steal to get there when he does graduate. Obviously I won't, but (smile emoji) I would like information. Does anybody know when the graduation is in July? Where we are supposed to stay? Is there a better way for me to find information? Have I mentioned that my son is a bad communicator? Lol. Overall, Mother's Day was complete with a call from him.
