We have been. My son is in DIV 944 now. A little shocking to see what our children are going through although I know it all has a reason

Yes I cried watching episode 2....  my recruit arrived Aug 2

I will continue to watch the videos even though that are hard because I feel that knowledge is power so if I know what they go thru it helps me in the long run.

Also maybe watching will spark a question for me to write about in my letters.

Yes, and I can't wait until Monday to see the next one.  My son arrived last night, got my 16 second call at 11:01 pm.  Reading about the process online and then actually seeing it is very different.  I've tried to telepathically send him strength and encouragement, lol, knowing they still probably haven't slept yet.  I'm a newbie to all of this and I know my son has great aspirations but at the same time, that's my kid.  He just turned 18, just graduated, and when he got on that bus yesterday, his childhood ended.  The next time I see him, he will be a man.  Thank goodness though he is going to GC in SC.  I'm next door in GA!!!  Prayers for all of our sons and daughters, and to us!!!

My son too is Nuke.... he went to great lakes Aug 2 so I am waiting on form letter and to get PIR date.... I am excited he goes to GC in SC because my best friend in in SC so 2 good reason's to visit there!

I feel the same as you... son just turns 18 and then straight off to become a man but he will always be my baby....

How exciting!  I will be sending good thoughts and prayers to yours!!

NavyNukemom keep sending those positive vibes. The photos and videos that are posted on the Facebook page have been a huge help to us. Even though I may not see my son directly it helps to see the things they have done.

Yes Angie, I know exactly what you mean!  Yesterday was hard for me, I couldn't even function from worrying and crying all day.  I watched a video about the moment of truth and I just keep thinking if he can make it through these first 72 hours, get some sleep, he will be fine.  These groups, the facebook pages, and researching all the info has been such a blessing to me.  To see what they are going through, to just "know" the process and information, instead of being in the dark and wondering.  :-)

NavyNukeMom

I must have missed something... where is the moment of truth video?
Lots of thoughts and prayers for you too! Not sure if this is harder on us moms or the recruits lol!

Right?!?!? I feel like it is good to know what my SR is going through but at the same time can’t even imagine the stress and pressure. OMG such mixed emotions

I know right lol!

I have been watching them and my children at home enjoy stalking the FB page and YouTube just in case we catch a glimpse of our SR. Love they are giving us a look inside the recruits training. So many questions answered which helps with my anxiety for sure.
