\n\nTo give you a little background on Navy Weeks, they are 
 set up by the US Navy with the intent to reach out to cities all over 
 the nation and give residents a chance to learn about the Navy. To all
 ow people a good look into the diverse roles available in the Navy, th
 ese weeklong celebrations can include:\n- Performances by the Navy Lea
 p Frog Parachute Team and the Blue Angels\n- Dive demonstrations and d
 ive tanks\n- SEAL fitness challenges\n- Navy rock and ceremonial bands
 \n- Flight and other interactive simulators\n- Appearances by Admirals
 , divers and sailors\n- Community service projects\n- Events with loca
 l sporting teams\n- Much more!\n\nVice Adm. Winns and Rear Adm. Goodwi
 n will serve as our leading Navy Week speakers. Also participating wil
 l be Sailors from the USS Pinckney, Navy Band Southeast and Sailors wi
 th various ties to the local area.\n\nN4M is not sponsoring this event
 , but if you're interested in coordinating something special with fell
 ow N4M members, here are some Do's and Don'ts to keep in mind :)


 

\n\nDO get involved with Navy Weeks.\n- You are encouraged to pa
 rticipate in Navy Week activities when appropriate.\n- If you want to 
 get involved with the Navy coordinators, your group should appoint a \
 "spokesperson\" to coordinate with the Navy. (This will alleviate mult
 iple calls on the same topic.). The Navy Week points of contact can be
  found on www.navyweek.org. Go to the schedule and click on the city t
 hat you are interest in. The point of contact for that city's Navy Wee
 k will be listed.\n\nDO NOT independently contact the flag officers or
  VIP participants involved in your town's Navy Week, but do work throu
 gh the appointed Navy Week points of contact listed on www.navyweek.or
