 ovember 1st!\n\nFor those of you that are not sure what Navy Weeks are
 , they consists of a series of events designed to tell the Navy story:
  what the Navy does, why it’s important, and what opportunities exis
 t in today’s Navy.

\n\nHouston Navy Week 2009 is packed with ev
 ents demonstrating the mission of the Navy and our proud heritage. The
 se events could include Blue Angels, \"Leap Frog\" Parachute Team, and
  Navy Band performances, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Dive Tanks,
  SEAL Accelerators, SEAL Fitness Challenges, Blue Angels F/A-18 Flight
  Simulators, Accelerate Your Life Experience (AYLE) Simulators, Navy T
 heme-Wrapped Suburbans, Navy TACH Demos and Flyovers all intent to giv
 e the public a personal look at the men and women of the Navy serving 
 throughout the world in different roles.\n\nHouston Navy Week will hav
 e a Flag Officer as our spokesperson. In addition to the admiral, ther
 e could be guest appearances from the Navy Blue Angels, Navy \"Leap Fr
 og\" Parachute Team, Navy Band and other outstanding local Sailors.\n\
 nN4M is not sponsoring this event, but if you're interested in coordin
 ating something special with fellow N4M members, here's some Do's and 
 Don'ts to keep in mind :)

\n\nDO get involved with Navy Weeks.

 \n- You are encouraged to participate in Navy Week activities when app
 ropriate.
\n- If you want to get involved with the Navy coordinators
 , your group should appoint a \"spokesperson\" to coordinate with the 
 Navy. (This will alleviate multiple calls on the same topic.). The Nav
 y Week points of contact can be found on www.navyweek.org. Go to the s
 chedule and click on the city that you are interest in. The point of c
 ontact for that city's Navy Week will be listed.

\n\nDO NOT indep
 endently contact the flag officers or VIP participants involved in you
 r town's Navy Week, but do work through the appointed Navy Week points
