 e 20th!\n\nFor those of you that are not sure what Navy Weeks are, the
 y consists of a series of events designed to tell the Navy story: what
  the Navy does, why it’s important, and what opportunities exist in 
 today’s Navy.

\n\nYork Navy Week 2009 is packed with events dem
 onstrating the mission of the Navy and our proud heritage. These event
 s could include \"Leap Frog\" Parachute Team and Navy Band performance
 s, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Dive Tank, SEAL Accelerator, SEAL
  Fitness Challenge, Navy TACH Demos and Flyovers, Blue Angels F/A-18 F
 light Simulator, Accelerate Your Life Experience (AYLE) Simulator and 
 Navy Theme-Wrapped Suburban all intent to give the public a personal l
 ook at the men and women of the Navy serving throughout the world in d
 ifferent roles.\n\nThere will be a Flag Officer as our spokesperson. I
 n addition to the Admiral, there could be guest appearances from a nam
 esake crew, the Navy \"Leap Frog\" Parachute Team, Navy Band and other
  outstanding local Sailors.\n\nN4M is not sponsoring this event, but i
 f you're interested in coordinating something special with fellow N4M 
 members, here's some Do's and Don'ts to keep in mind :)

 t involved with Navy Weeks.
\n- You are encouraged to participate in
  Navy Week activities when appropriate.
\n- If you want to get invol
 ved with the Navy coordinators, your group should appoint a \"spokespe
 rson\" to coordinate with the Navy. (This will alleviate multiple call
 s on the same topic.). The Navy Week points of contact can be found on
  www.navyweek.org. Go to the schedule and click on the city that you a
 re interest in. The point of contact for that city's Navy Week will be
  listed.

\n\nDO NOT independently contact the flag officers or VI
 P participants involved in your town's Navy Week, but do work through 
 the appointed Navy Week points of contact listed on www.navyweek.org\n
