OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

I'm looking forward to seeing those that can make it tomorrow! I've got all kinds of "stuff". Do we need more boxes? I have more coming in the mail.

I wish I could attend but I had an "event"ful day in Shoreline today. I left at 2:40pm and got home at 6:30pm. I don't think I can do a back to back trip like that in one day.

Come down a little bit south! LOL

Hey all... don't feel obligated to bring things for the boxes... the best thing the guys want and need is to know that we are thinking about them... I will have postcards for each of us to write a quick note on... That above everything else is what they seem to ask for and treasure the most... notes from home....

Also, if you have your local newspaper bring it along... the guys love local news from home!

Looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday! Join us to chat and have lunch...

Some of us are bringing along items to pack in boxes for a group of Seabees that are deployed in Afghanistan. Feel free to bring along things that would represent Western Washington! Postcards, sports team shirts or pennants, snacks, etc... Use your imagination! Thought it might be fun to pack one box with all green items from the Evergreen state.... anything goes for that one!!! I have silly putty, toothbrushes, mint dental floss...

Should be fun to see what we all come up with!!!

I'm new on here -- my son arrived at GL on May 13. Even though he's not active, is it okay to attend on Saturday?

Guess What! There is a gum wrapped in GREEN that says
RAIN on it. Wriggley's brand. I bought a bunch of that too. Oh my gosh, how perfect for the WET side of the State!
