DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi, I'm Shell. (Steve's Mom on here). I was invited by catchingcatherine after posting a question about the Nuke program on yahoo answers.
My 17 year old son signed up 1-26-2007 for US Navy Nuclear Power Program. He will be leaving for basic 9-4-08. But has requested to leave sooner if an opening comes up.
Heh, catchingcatherine is me! :)
Don't rush it hon. It will come soon enough.

Hi Patti , my son enlisted last year also but had to wait until Feb 4 , when he told me the date I thought it was so far away then before I knew it his recriuter was here to get him , that was probably one of the hardest days of my life , I really never gave it much thought about how hard it would be to say good bye , but since then I have gotten a few letters from him and he was able to call last week , it was so good to hear his voice and he sounded so positive . He will be graduating on March 28 ,I can't wait to see him , God bless all those that serve and those waiting for them . Lisa Flynn
Hi Lisa,
My son is graduating March 28th also. It is so exciting.
