OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Did you get the I'm here call??

I don't think I got another one after that for awhile..... but  "NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS"  & " HURRY UP AND WAIT"

I know that doesn't help much, but that is what Navy Mom's is for.....  What did Moms do before this site, I wouldn't want to know!

The SRs call when they get there to say I made it here. My son said "I will call again in 3 weeks". But, if there division is screwing up they may lose their phone priviledge. I have developed the attitude that no news is good news and if he calls.. Great, if not...I will see him at graduation. They are in good hands with the Navy.

thak you, navy moms have been awesome...   putting a mom's mind at rest...
thanks so much....  we just never got the 1st call, but now, i can see why we might not have.  so, looking forward to box or sign that he is at gl.

I only got the I'm here call, one 3 weeks later and then another 3 weeks after that look for the "847" area code on your caller ID that will be him!

thanks, we will be looking for

thanks, we will now be watching for "847"..  good to know.....

good to know there is a reason we didn't hear from him....thank you navy moms so much....

We got the "I'm here" call, one 3 weeks later and looks like now the "I'm a Sailor" call after battlestations, she graduates 5/6. Some div. get more.. but I think most just get one call in between the 1st "im here" and BS.

thanks, ours must have got in very late, or big group...puts this mom's minds at rest...
