Yes I was responding about how long my son's t-track was. I'm sorry if I added more dialog than you wanted to know. Congrats on his first accomplishment in the pipeline.

Lancertrackmom - just in case you missed it, I think I saw something posted elsewhere about needing to have your vaccination card to show at the gate. When my son graduated, we were there very early in the morning, I had our ID's and car registration & insurance, just in case I needed it, and I had our invitation, but I don't think that was necessary.

JNMnavymomOH - Your son's t-track could be 2 months depending on when the other A school classes graduate and his Power School class starts. And yes, it is best to just wait until he classes up to find out the potential graduation date. I do not know anything about the length of PS being altered. My son's A school and PS graduation dates were both altered due to weather related delays to their schooling.

My son said his t-track was like 2 months and then his Power School graduation would be in October. That doesn't sound right to me, but he also said that he was told that his Power School would not be the full 26 weeks. I will wait until he classes up and get the actual date then.

It is such a nice, intimate ceremony. We got there super-early because we didn't want to be stuck in traffic, and it was fun to hear the banter before the ceremony started. But one of the things I really appreciated is that before it officially started, they confirmed that everyone the Sailors were expecting were present.

Hello!! My son graduated on 3/10/23 class 2309-A. The ceremony is really short. The promotion (frocking) to Petty Officer 3rd Class is part of the ceremony. It is done right after the "welcome". It was quite nice to see. All the graduations are recorded and usually includes the frocking, however ours did not. The person giving the speech made some pretty big mistakes and so that whole section was removed. I recorded the last 30 seconds of it, and glad I did. Make sure you have your…

Lancertrackmom - the E4 promotion is not really a separate promotion for the Nukes, they just have their graduation and the E4 mainly is just their pay raise. Now, out in the fleet, or on shore, my sailor and DIL have both had their frockings/ pinnings (I think they are considered the same thing, although I could be mistaken) for when they ranked up to E5 & E6.

I think because the Nukes have their graduation ceremony, they do not do anything special for their E4 promotion.
