Talk about a complete crying breakdown at work. My amazing son sent me a message in a bottle right before he left for boot camp on 6/13. I received a box at work yesterday (6/15) and was a little confused because I knew I hadn't ordered anything recently. I opened the box and saw this pink tissue paper wrapped package. Now really curious, I tore off the paper and saw this beautiful bottle with a tightly rolled paper inside. It was a note from my son thanking me for giving him strength, that he would always be my little boy and that he loved me. Urgh, I'm tearing up right now just writing about it. Boy, I love and miss that kid!
So happy for you! You definitely raised a fine young man!
That is so awesome, brought tears to my eyes reading your post.
What a beautiful detail from your son with the biggest heart! Good job Mom on raising a wonderful young man :) May God continue to bless you both on this journey! When my son left fro BC it was my birthday and it was the most difficult time for me because i didnt want to celebrate or do anything but he insisted for me to celebrate and have a bbq for him as he embarked on this journey so we did & we prayed for him i tried my best to do that for him :)
May we as moms, family & friends continue to keep in touch with them and give them encouragement, strength & prayers because they will need it on this journey, just as they mention it during PIR!
That is precious!!!!!! Crying with you! My amazing son left on 6/14 and I’m just making it one breath at a time! So happy you have this tangible something to know how much he loves and misses you! Good job, momma!!
That is so sweet. What a caring young man you raised that he would think of you and know what you would need this week.
Melissa - you have a very thoughtful young man as your son. Let the tears and emotions flow. Thanks for sharing the picture as well.

What a great kid you raised! I know my now-a-sailor son loves me but he left for boot camp without a backwards glance :).
