My son is shipping out in less than a week  - on Monday, December 1!  I am so excited for him, and so proud!  Are there any other moms out there with sons/daughters with the same ship date?  I would love to connect!

My son ships out December 1 too!  He's excited and can't wait to get to Nuke school.  I'm going to need to keep it together for him.  I drop him off tomorrow at MEPS.  We're in Kansas.  Where are you guys from?

I drop my daughter off tomorrow too. We are from Vt. She can't wait to get to school for linguistics! She said that school is in California! A big difference from the weather here :) but first, Great Lakes TC . I hear what you are saying about keeping it together for them ! Won't be easy, but I can be proud in knowing she is following her dreams! Good luck tomorrow :) hugs to all who are dropping off their sons or daughters tomorrow!!!

So Sunday is right around the corner and we are making final preparations for my girl to leave! Yikes! So fast :) I am really very proud of her and excited too, just wish we could postpone Dec 1 for a couple more days haha! Blessings to all families who will join me Dec 1 as we become the proud parent of a Sailor recruit!!!

Good luck today!  We're dropping off my son in an hour.

Hope you had a great day, Kizeile!  Exciting but bittersweet.  :)

It was difficult but I I kept busy at work.  Now that I'm home, it's starting to sink in. How are you doing?

December 1st for us too! We are from Texas.

MarNavyMom-How are you doing? Did you get your box?

I have shed a few too, Ruthieh!  It was a long day, but I was so proud to see him up there taking the oath!  He was calm and confident - like he was in the right place.  So proud.  Now a long night ahead to RTC.  The next eight weeks will fly by.

I just got the "I'm here" call!
