Thank you for the post Diane. Unfortunately, our son is feeling very sick and he's afraid to go to sick quarters. His DIV 317, starts Battle Stations, along with his best friend's DIV 318, tomorrow night. We got the letter today, which he wrote on Sunday. He said he feels like he's burning up with a fever, and his throat hurts so bad he can't swallow, much less eat. He said his Petty Officer told them if they go to sick quarters their graduation could be held up two weeks. He said they had two more days of fire fighting which prepares them for BS, and he would be too far behind.
Do you think this is true? He asked that everyone pray for them all.
Not sure if that is true. He doesn't graduate until next Fri, so he would have plenty of time between now and then to go through BStations with another group, if need be. Let's hope that since he wrote the letter on Sunday, he started getting better (they have a med pack they can pick up from the med facility) and he is much better now, ready to go through tomorrow night! If for some reason he's not, he should be able to go with one of the divisions next week., I think
HOPING HOPING HOPING that you get a I'm a Sailor call on Friday! PRAY HARD! Poor guy...the sicknesses that go through there are amazing...but my son was the same way...he was burning up with fever early on but didn't want to be set back again...he already had been setback once for something else. He said they allowed him some timeouts during training when he was about to faint, and he was much better in a few days. Hoping the same for your son!
Diane, Thank you! I've been praying for 317 & 318 through out the day. No news is good news so I'm hoping that means he's hanging in in there. It's amazing to think of the importance of this night for them. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. I will post as soon as I hear something tomorrow.
Thanks Diane for doing this. and I'll remember to ask the right ?
I got a letter yesterday (Wed) and YES Div. 945 BS is Monday. My candle has been burning since last Friday (in my church, as I was afraid of burning my house) and it will burn until graduation. Im getting ready to go to church (and to work) and will pray for ALL of our SR and the special needs mentioned. (sick kids especially momofcurtis, stepfather, etc). Have a beautiful day.
Thanks so much for confirming 945, newmom60. There is confusion on the 10/1 group because for their 900 group, someone is saying Sunday and another Monday. I have only seen 900 groups go on Sunday when the PIR is on a Thurs rather than Fri. So we are a bit confused on that site! It's not the ladies' fauilt...nor the recruits. Because they are told different things! I know so many ladies are good about praying all the way through all of the BattleStations for their PIR group....but I like to get a schedule so that all will know when their calls are coming....otherwise there may be BattleStations anxiety for a very long time for each lady on here! :-)
You have a wonderful day too....
Prayer....what would we do WITHOUT it???? Having someone we love in the Navy sure keeps us on our knees!!!

NavyFam: Yes, asking the right questions is a GOOD thing! Everyone may want to have a list of questions to ask during the "I'm a Sailor" call too....just remember that they can't talk about what they did during BattleStations. Confidential.
Division 820 does Battlestations on Monday, 09/20.
Thanks, DallasMom. Posting it now!
Praise be to God! Our son made it through BS and now he's going to sick quarters. All of DIV 317 passed BS, however they lost a few during the week due to failing written tests and PFA. They had 77 (they began in July with 81) and began BS with 68. All 68 passed. After suffering loss to DIV 318 many times, they beat them in BS, a long awaited victory! Congrats to all our Sailors and moms! Now, I'm just praying for our son's quick recovery for graduation!
Wonderful news! I sure hope he is better soon....so glad that he got through BStations before going to sick quarters! Congrats!
praying for those doing BStations tomorrow night!
Go 945 and 820! Hooyah!
