I completely agree with Chris. Make sure he knows you support him and will be anxiously waiting to see him again. Also, while he is away it will be hard for you but when he calls, which will only be 2 or 3 times total, make sure you only tell him positive things. He will be worried enough w/o thinking about how to help you at home. You will be his rock, stay strong and positive:) When my son called, I wanted to cry but I held it together and cried when I hung up. It is a little different than a…

It is a little different than a spouse but sometimes you have to put aside everything to support the one you love. Thank your husband for enlisting for me and I thank you also, what you two are about to do is wonderful and I appreciate it. You are both going into the Navy, you will have to adapt and be strong, but it is worth it in the end. I think you need to be very understanding. He's probably more than a little scared right now (though of course he wouldn't admit it!) so be loving, be positive, tell him how proud you are of him, that you'll miss him but know that he's doing this so that the 2 of you can have a better life. Reassure him that you'll write him every day (though he won't get your letters for a couple of weeks). Don't be surprised if he seems a little "off"....many of them start to pull away from loved ones,…
Don't be surprised if he seems a little "off"....many of them start to pull away from loved ones, thinking it'll make the parting less difficult. In other words be prepared for anything. You must stay strong, no matter how you're feeling inside. The next 2 months will be very difficult for him and he doesn't need to be stressed out any more worrying about you. So tell him you love him, will miss him but you'll be fine, and you'll be looking forward to seeing him at graduation.
