we finally got our first phone call, since we missed the first one, D sounded good...he also had to do his watch also as he called around 7pm our time and 9pm greatlakes time.....god it was just good to hear his voice.....the only things is that his letters and his phone calls are about when he is coming home...even his letter never mentioned anything except what he was going to do about coming home...nothing about how it was, weather,food....nothing...but it was good to hear from him.....and graduation less than one month away............is everyone renting a car for graduation...i am trying to figure out a reasonable way from the airport to the hotel...we are going to be at the ramada also...so if anyone knows of something anything would be appreciated
Yay Kathy! Glad you got your call! I have found that when N calls he kind of leads the direction of the call...I know I want every detail, but I also know that for my son it is important to "keep it together" out there and the best way to do that is to not get into any "deep" conversation. N is doing well...he did mention that this division is really close. He still is keeping his sense of humor and I have to believe that is a really good sign! So I guess I would say is let him lead unless you have some specific questions that you need answers to. Does any of that make sense?
We are driving so we won't have to rent and we too will be at the Ramada. You are aware of the Meet and Greet right?
Penny
Has anyone heard anything from our recruits in div 029? I have been hearing about other divisions getting phone calls and letters like crazy today, but I haven't heard from N and I'm hoping that they are doing ok. Please share anything from this division.
Penny
Did anyone in Div 029 hear from your recruits today? It sounds like everyone got calls but me! :(
no we didn't get a phone call today either from our daughter. Talked to her on Tuesday for a moment and she said she would be calling today. So I'm thinking either they got stuck with some kind of duty or they got in trouble? hard to tell, hopefully we will get a call soon!
Yeah, I just spoke to my son's bunk mate's mom and she didn't get a call today either and she was surprised too. Oh dear, I really hope that they didn't get into trouble. :( I know I will be glad when I do finally hear from him. I was waiting all day! Are you seeing all of the articles that RTC is posting on facebook about where all of the recruits were today...videos an d photos and I have been scanning all of them like crazy looking for N!
Well take care and let me know if you hear anything!
Penny
those recruits are suppose to be from 12/3, and 12/17. Well its less than a month now and they will be finished :)
Donna
Donna, how did you find out that info?
Penny
How did you find RTC on facebook? I'd love to check out those pictures too
We didn't hear from my son either. We actually had planned to be out of town with the out-laws, i mean in-laws, :) for Thanksgiving but changed our plans just so that we would be home in case my son called. It was a long day with cooking and constantly checking had both my cell and house phone handy in case he called. I too hope everything is ok.
Well, it was also stressful shopping on Black Friday...not because of lines or people, but because each time I went into a store I stressed over whether or not I would have cell service! UGH! This is driving me crazy! I just wish I knew that they had a nice day...even if they didn't get to call us!
Penny
I think it was with an article with the picture.
