whats the name of your fiance?? him and my bf might know each other! :)
My son is in this division. He arrived on 10/28 and we have received just one phone call (except for the call on the day he arrived). I hope to get another call soon but am so happy to know he will be able to take leave for Christmas. He was told two weeks leave. Anyone receive a letter yet?
My son is planning to take duty at the recruiting station to keep from taking the full two weeks (or ten days) as it seems. Where is yours' going to A school?
how does it work tho? i hear it somewhere like if u take duty at ur local recruiting station u get more days off?
My husband is an ex-recruiter. He suggested this so that my son would not be too much in the hole on leave. This is the way I understand it:
If they do not start school for 10-14 days, they can take the 10-14 days leave. While they are on leave, they visit the recuiting office each day (there is a maximum number of days they can take on this type of duty) and ask the recruiter to sign a form. In return they hang out in the recruiting office doing odd jobs or visit schools in their uniform, etc. as needed by the recruiting station. Once they get to school, the days they worked at the station are subtracted from the leave they took. It is a bit of a backwards system, but a good opportunity to be at home and not charged for leave. If you want to do this, I would talk to the recruiter beforehand to see make sure this is an option. It may be a bit more complicated than I have described and note that rules vary for different situations/jobs/times of year, etc. so this may not work for everyone in every situation.

His name is Ryan. What is your boyfriend's name? I will ask Ryan if he knows him in a letter.
